i think this lyrics could fit pretty much with what i want to say, LOST was/is the show of my life, it's like losing a friend even thought right now i'm in "peace", i know the end is coming, i know i'll probably cry and have to deal with the "after LOST" but i'm glad LOST bring me to meet such people, I wanted to thanks Hely, Su and Ale for their work here, this blog was created for fans and as fans i'm happy to say thank you for you all.

I know it's coming to end and now it's time to thanks Damon and Carlton and also JJ thought for me LOST belong to Darlton !
I'll miss the cast, they were all fantastic, they made LOST was the show is now so thank you Josh, Evi, Foxy, Jorge, Terry, Emerson and everyone else!

Don't worry for the blog, i've a lot of stuff to share with you and i'll follow the life of our losties too, i wish them good luck and i hope they'll success !
LOST will never end in my heart, there will be always a part of me thinking of Hurley when i'll play the numbers, I'll think of Sawyer when i'll be sitting my bed reading a book, i'll think of Locke when i'll see orange remembering his cute/creepy smile in the Pilot, I'll remember Kate and her freckles, I'll remember Sayid 'cause when i'll need someone to repair something i'll be Sayid could do it and I'll remember Jack when i'll go to doctor and wonder if he'll say I WILL FIX YOU !! I'll remember the "DOC" episode for personnal reason and how much Sun and I were close, i'll think of the cage when i'll eat strawberries, i'll remember Ben when i'll drink milk, i'll just remember everything, everytimes i'll look at my room and all those LOST items/gift i'll cherish forever.

Lost is part of my life and it will never end, my friend is leaving me but i still know there is a place where i could find him : MY HEART ♥

Damon's mom interview about LOST

Her commentary starts with the recap of previous developments on "Lost" — specifically, the tragic scene in which the beloved Jin and Sun died together on a doomed submarine.

"Oh, don't even show me this again," an anguished Susan Klausner says to the television. "No, no, no, no. Don't show me this again."

As the co-creator of the co-creator of "Lost" — as she's been called — the mother of Damon Lindelof is even more heavily invested in the show than most diehard fans.

"I feel like I'm losing a friend," Klausner says of tonight's "Lost" finale. "It made me think, and when you're over 60, it's a really good thing to be made to think. It's always a good thing."

This past Tuesday, The Record joined Klausner to watch the penultimate episode, "What They Died For," at her Hackensack condo. She also shared memories of her son's Teaneck childhood while everyone noshed on her homemade dark chocolate mousse and toasted the show with champagne.

Watching "Lost" with the dryly witty Klausner is a fun, interactive experience.

When, for example, someone from Oceanic Airlines (Desmond, it turns out) phones Sideways Jack to say they've found his "missing cargo" — the coffin carrying his father's body — she predicts, "He won't be in it."

Back on the island, Kate blames Locke for Sun and Jin's death and says, "We have to kill him, Jack."

"Yes," Klausner says.

When Sawyer comes onscreen, she sighs, "Oh, hot man."

Other comments: "I don't see Locke as a substitute teacher" and "Ben, I don't think I'm liking you."

And what did Mom think of Allison Janney's Mother character in the May 11 episode?

"I think she was protecting her children," Klausner says of the woman who killed the real mother of the two sons she raised as her own, to keep them from being corrupted by the outsiders on the island. "I think her heart was in the right place, but she was a little bit, uh, living out of reality. She was sort of paranoid."

Recently, tv.com argued that there are five types of "Lost" fans. And Lindelof said he'd put his mom in the "Eternally Confused and Faithful" category.

Does she agree?

"Absolutely," Klausner says, but later adds, "I probably know more than he thinks I know. But I'm most interested in the emotional connections."

She vividly remembers when her son called to say that he had an opportunity to write a treatment — or series outline — with J.J. Abrams. Not long after, her son called again.

"He said, 'Mom, they're giving us $11 million to do a pilot.' I said, 'How many zeroes did you say?' "

In 2005, when "Lost" got the Emmy as outstanding drama and a slew of other nominations, Klausner had a party at her place, complete with red carpet. Her friends had to come wearing high heels and glitz.

The following year, she accompanied her son to the Emmys. When he got up to call his pregnant wife and someone took his seat, Klausner tried to shoo the man away, not realizing he was a seat filler. "I'm not Hollywood-knowledgeable," she says.

Last fall, when Lindelof and fellow executive producer Carlton Cuse received an award at the Hawaii International Film Festival, her son invited her to the ceremony. They flew together from L.A. — where Lindelof lives with his wife, Heidi, and their almost-4-year-old son, Van, Klausner's much-loved grandson.

"It was my very first first-class flight, and it was fun, just being with him," Klausner says of her son.

On that trip to Hawaii, director/executive producer Jack Bender put her into a "Lost" scene in which Sideways Jack's son is auditioning for a music school. Klausner played one of the judges. Although she went by in a flash, her son later sent her a three-minute, 40-second DVD compilation of her outtakes.

Every Sunday morning, Klausner has a coast-to-coast video chat with him and his family.

"He's scary normal, because he's grateful for everything," Klausner says of her son. "He does not believe the media hype. He knows he's smart, but he knows he's also very lucky. He's grateful for being lucky. His first priority is his wife, his kid, his mom."

During the six-season run of "Lost," though, being the co-creator's co-creator did not entitle Klausner to story line secrets. In fact, when she visited the writers room in Burbank to chat with the writers, they confiscated her eyeglasses.

"They took my glasses, because they write on the walls. They have erasable walls," she says. "I couldn't see anything."

Her favorite "Lost" characters include Sawyer, of course, and Kate, Hurley and Jack.

"I love them for different reasons," she says. "But I think if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the intellectual. John Locke. Not the evil Locke, but the one who's struggling with redeeming himself.

"I can't imagine what this finale's going to be," she says, before speculating that "Welcome to LAX" will be the final image. "Not that this was an imaginary thing, but that they do land somehow at LAX and that the other things were the possibilities of redemption."

Before the episode began Tuesday night, Klausner made another prediction, part of which seemingly is turning out to be true.

"I think Jack is going to be the last man standing," she says. "I think Jack is supposed to stay on the island. He's going to be the keeper of the light, because what's waiting for him? Kate's going to marry Sawyer, if my son has a heart."

the end of LOST
So i think for the end, the fans will be react differently, it's something related to the show, and always people are attracted of mystery and it will continue this way, you can't satisfy everyone, and there is not a simply answer on LOST, it's the theme of show. I didn't hope or have an idea what I wanted the show to end but i can say the writers said there is always a plan and we have an ideas where we wanted the show to go and it wasn't a joke. it's true.(laugh) you can see the plan it was always here.

the last kate's scene
It was really a beautiful scene, it was an emotional scene. I saw it already because i was here when they were recordering the music for the show and i cried, cried, it was something very emotional like you can see it's 'cause it was my life which was organized around this show for 6 years but i think the fans will be also emotional.

Will Kate miss you ?
Oh yes, i think it was strange because you became your character so for me it was interesting, it's already interesting 'cause i'm letting go of her, the set is over, so kate is over too. it's like losing a part of your spirit or a very close friend but it's also freedom 'cause having always kate so close it was hard (here i don't understand but she mean having her in her personnal life) so it's exciting.

Lost: Will We Get to See Sawyer and Juliet Go Dutch for Coffee?

Ever since the Season 6 premiere of Lost, fans wondered what Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) meant when she offered a coffee date to Sawyer (Josh Holloway) in which they could go Dutch. With the series coming to an end Sunday, TVGuide.com caught up with Mitchell to find out whether Juliet and Sawyer will be reunited and whether she's satisfied with the conclusion of her storyline.

TVGuide.com: The perception is that we're going to see Juliet back having that coffee date with Sawyer. Can we expect any surprises?
Elizabeth Mitchell: There probably will be surprises. I wouldn't trust anything one way or another. I was happy to do what they had me do. I had a great time and it's fun knowing, but there's so much I don't know about the finale.

TVGuide.com: Did you know what those lines about going Dutch for coffee meant when you said them in the premiere?
Mitchell: I did because I thought that was something I should know in the playing of it. I had a feeling that I knew what they were and I was kind of given the go-ahead to do it the way that I thought that it was. So I did have somewhat of an idea, yes. I didn't go into it blind.

TVGuide.com: Do you feel you're more knowledgeable about it now?
Mitchell: Yeah, or maybe about the same. They definitely gave me enough ammunition to do what I needed to do. I feel like I was pretty much right on in the way that I played it. The producers are mischievous, though. [Laughs] Who knows what they're going to do. Any day now I'm expecting them to call and say they're not going to use my stuff [for the finale]. I know they filmed things that weren't there and other things to throw people off. They're serious about keeping this secret.

TVGuide.com: Were you satisfied with the ending they gave to Juliet?
Mitchell: To a degree. The thing about Juliet is that she was such a complex character and I had so much invested in her story. We could do about six hours and I still wouldn't feel it was wrapped up. I enjoyed what they had me do. I thought it was authentic.

TVGuide.com: A lot of fans believe that Juliet is Jack's ex-wife in the sideways universe.
Mitchell: Oh, that would be pretty cool. We'll see if everybody is right or not. [Laughs] I really wish I could say.

TVGuide.com: How do you feel coming to the end of Lost?
Mitchell: It's funny, it was so strange saying goodbye to everybody. Some people did it in different ways: Some out partying, some people were doing their own thing. I sat really quietly with Evangeline [Lilly] for a little bit, and I sat really quietly with Terry [O'Quinn] and I just thought about how much I really like these people. I remember saying goodbye to the guys when I did my final thing and everyone was saying thank you. It's got that feeling of "job well done," where everybody feels like they gave as much as they had to give and felt good about it. It's a happy goodbye, rather than a "we should've done more" goodbye.

I watched Holloway on the Lost soundstage for two days in February. He seemed to be one of the most popular cast members with the crew; he's a friendly dude, with nothing of the pampered star about him, and he had some sort of inside joke for almost everyone he passed. We spoke on the metal steps of his trailer on the day he was shooting the big submarine sequence, during which a mistake made by his character leads to a few of his fellow castaways going kablooey. He was having a smoke as he talked. Through the trailer door I spotted his guitar. He seemed humble, with more than a hint of the actor's insecurity, as if he couldn't believe his luck.

Jim Windolf: Terry O'Quinn told me the two of you sometimes play and sing together, along with Naveen Andrews [who plays Sayid].

They're the pros, Terry and Naveen. They can play all kinds of stuff. They sing, play guitar, everything else. Harmonize. I can play a little, I can entertain you for a while, but I'm not on their level. It's a special thing, though, to be sitting around on set, and the girls have these angel voices, and Jorge [Garcia] can really rock it out, too.

Have you ever played in public?

Once. Years and years ago, I sang at a blues bar with a band behind me. It was with my friend, my guitar teacher at the time. I took some sporadic lessons. This was like eighteen years ago. I haven't done it lately because of the Internet and YouTube. I don’t feel like I'm on that level, to be going out there, when it's gonna be worldwide. People will cringe and be like, "Oh, my God, put that down!"

What music do you like?

I'm stuck way back. Rolling Stones. Pink Floyd. Neil Young. Alice in Chains. Radiohead.

yes yes, who never do it ? well i think i started around 2005 when i was very involved on the show and i played the numbers and i do again lol it's the 8 who made me won the LOST Yearbook lol, I won recently place at restaurant with my ticket #4 lol hell the numbers are one of the most funny things on LOST, not funny for Hurley but the obsession fans have had on it, I don't try to win million and all it's just I HAVE TO play the numbers on each games, lottery lol it's like that period !
I remember recently I made my friends crazy 'cause all time we heard at the "bingo" game(i dunno if it's the same thing like for me, we call it loto lol) the numbers i was telling the names of the candidates lol

when you think you've not enough cried, voila BOUM something is posted and you cry thinking it will end in 2days :(

At 5 a.m. on April 24, I became unemployed.

I just wrapped my six-season run on "Lost." The job that went above and beyond anything I could have imagined was over.

When I auditioned for "Lost," I was just another out-of-work actor struggling to land a pilot. When I first went in to meet the producers, there wasn't any material for me, except a few sides they had for the character Sawyer.

I felt great about the audition; so great, in fact, that getting the part wasn't important because I knew I couldn't have done any better. Then I got the call that I was going to test, and that they were going to write scenes specifically for me. I remember noticing I was the only Hurley in the room waiting to test. I called my agent from the parking lot afterward and said, "I don't know what it meant but it felt like a good thing."

When I got hired I hadn't even seen the pilot script. All I knew was that it was a J.J. Abrams show and that it would shoot in Hawaii. I figured, if anything, I had just scored an extended Hawaiian vacation.

Moving to Hawaii was a dream come true. When I worked the magazine stand at Borders in Westwood, I remember seeing a picture of Kelsey Grammer in his Hawaiian home on the cover of Architectural Digest and thinking that having a home in Hawaii was a good benchmark for success. Not two months in my new apartment in L.A., I was trying to figure out what to pack for a show that I had no idea how long would last. Now six years later, I walk around my house trying to figure out what to pack from all of the stuff I have amassed in Hawaii over the show's run.

During the pilot and the first summer of shooting we bonded quickly as a cast. After all, not unlike the show's premise, we literally found ourselves on an island with one another. We'd go to each other's houses on the weekends and nights when we weren't shooting. When the shows started airing, we would usually gather at the house of whomever the show was going to feature that week to watch and congratulate each other.

We had no information about what was going on beyond what we read in the script each week. We knew we were making TV that was not like anything seen before and crossed our fingers hoping we would find an audience who liked what we were doing.

The series premiere brought in better numbers than we anticipated and I remember saying to the other actors the next day, "I hope you like it in Hawaii because we may be here for a while."

As the seasons progressed, moments of being recognized on the street grew exponentially. There was a time during season one when all I had to do was tie my hair back to become invisible. Obviously, that does nothing for me now; neither does wearing a hat and sunglasses. At times both Daniel Dae Kim and Terry O'Quinn remarked how they enjoyed disappearing when they were around me as I would be the only one getting recognized.

Hawaii has been a wonderful place to hide for six years. Sometimes I could almost convince myself that "Lost" was a just a little show I did with friends in the jungle. I always liked to think of us as the tinkers in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" until something would shake that fantasy and I'd be forced to recognize how huge the show was becoming, like getting nominated for a Golden Globe. J.J., always the consummate mensch, wanted my experience to be enjoyable and easy at the awards, so he gifted me my first custom-tailored tuxedo.

I think the time spent under the cast tent on set will be what I'll miss the most. We sang songs to Terry and Naveen's guitar playing, made valiant group efforts to complete a Friday edition of the New York Times crossword puzzle and played a lot of Scrabble.

My last day on "Lost" was also my longest: 20 hours. Without going into details, I can say the shoot was dangerous, physical and wet. But what could be more appropriate? How else could we end this epic show without an epic marathon night of shooting? At the end of it all we all remarked how we expected the end to be more emotional for us, but we were too tired to cry.

I'll admit I got a little teary with Matthew Fox. I thanked him for everything he taught me, including taking me on his trip to Japan to see Green Day that first summer of shooting. At the time, flying at the last minute to a foreign country was way out of my comfort zone, but then again nothing on "Lost" was ever in my comfort zone.

I stuck around after even after I wrapped to see the martini shot of the entire show. I could feel director Jack Bender's resistance to call "print" on that last take. In fact I'm pretty sure he asked for one more take to delay the inevitable.

I still don't think the end of it all has hit me yet. Maybe I'll feel it when the finale finally airs Sunday. Or maybe it will hit me when I board the plane at Honolulu Airport for the last time as a Hawaiian resident.

I have no clue what my next adventure is going to be, I just know this job is going to be a hard one to follow.

Terry O'Quinn

On the tragic nature of John Locke, and his death:

"I got an email that said, 'It was such a disappointment to us to see Locke go that way, to see that he was an insignificant loser.' My response was, I cling to the idea that he was in fact a significant loser, that his path, his actions were significant in that they made a difference. ... It was unfortunate that he wasn't fulfilled, that he wasn't able to garner the thing that he wanted most, which was recognition and respect and to be somebody. And a nobody was who he was [when he went to Australia]. He was an unperson. He was tragic."

Was Locke's faith misplaced, then?

"I think it was never placed. He desperately wanted to believe in something, and he to this point in his life never found anything that repaid him for believing in it. ... [Until he found the Island and the belief] that it could be shared with everyone. He desperately wanted that to happen. He said he was a man of faith, but I also think that he desperately wanted people to have faith in him. So no, I don't think he was ever satisfied. And that's what makes him tragic. But a good man."

Does that help or hinder you as an actress?

"I think it helps me be true to Kate. When Locke comes 'back to life,' if I had read the scripts, I would have known that he's alive and he's kicking and he's doing his thing. But Kate doesn't encounter Locke until long afterward. And when she encountered them, I think I was the only one who realized that this was her first time seeing this dead man alive. And I think it helped—I had to show that she was gobsmacked...

"There are a lot of times when I'll show up on set and say to the director, 'Walk me through this. Where has [Kate] been and what is she doing? Because we don't shoot in chronological order. It can be hard to remember what the chronology is and how much time has passed between events. We have Greg Nations, who's become famous as the script supervisor who maintains all the details and all the chronology. But sometimes the director will make a decision on the fly. When's the last time she saw her? Oh, let's say two hours-ish."

On the season four finale reveal, and his role in concealing it:

"I was [filmed] in a coffin when they were trying to keep Terry O'Quinn's secret. They put me in a suit, and they put me in the coffin, and they shot it. I got to tell you, it pissed me off. Because even if you know you're not dead, you feel like you're dead for a minute."

D-3 : What is my less favorite season ?

Well i could say a part of me wasn't fan of s2 'cause mostly Locke was inside this damn hatch, I felt for him and for Terry (and i know he didn't like himself sigh) but the season i don't like so it will surprise people i guess but it's season4 the O6 as I call it, and the reasons are simple...
I know it was rushed 'cause of the strike, but i was so piss off because it was the O6 season, true we got good scenes and all, but lack of Sawyer (and NO CENTRIC WTF !) and we stayed in dark so LONGGGGGG wondering what happened for our losties left behind, we knew for example Jin was dead or Sawyer chose to stay on the island, we knew Jack wanted to go back but I didn't like this season and WHO was on the coffin I think it killed me, i was pissed off for MANY reasons that's why it's the season I'll not rewatch a lot except fews good episodes.
One of my fav scene this season (so happy i got the script last year with the liveauto event thanks Darlton!!) BUT for me they shouldn't bring them back together so early, i still wonder if Desmond will have his happy ending with Penny and bb charlie :(

On adjusting to ocean life in Hawaii: “I almost peed my pants, if I can say that. I’ve been out there in conditions I should not have been out there in. I’ve learned a lot from this ocean, and I have a lot more to learn. If you’re going to be taunting her in that way, she will smack you down. You can never disrespect the ocean.”

On being a family man: “As men, we protect and provide by our nature. And when we find something bona fide and validated, it’s hard to break out of. … I always wanted a wife and child, so I geared my life that way.”

What’s next: “I like the growth that happens to an artist in transition. A lot of growth takes place throughout your insecurities, through having to reevaluate something you thought was working and finding a way to make it work differently. All of that is very uncomfortable.”

On getting older: “I love the comfort zone. In my mind, I am a 70-year-old man with a fly rod in one hand and a beer in the other. But that’s not the world of creativity. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy the comfort when you’ve found a zone. But you must always evolve.”

I'll make it short lol because the story is just funny i could say, it's true i was freaked out when Walkt was kidnapped and Sawyer shot BUT the time i was o_O and i couldn't stop to think for hours about it
it was when our losties were captured by Henry or i could say Ben, at this time we didn't know the others, they were "weird", kidnapped Claire then Walt, then wanted to kill Kate so Yes i was very freaked out when we saw Hurley frees (at first i even thought OMG he's with them lol a short moment lol like he's free and he's the big boss hell my mind can be crazy sometimes lol) so here to remember this last scene where Mike left his friends and they go "home" with mister creepy Benjamin Linus, i knew i was back to watch s3 but VERY VERY WORRY for our losties !

An ABC source confirms to me that after Sunday’s series finale, titled "The End," airs from 9 – 11:30 pm ET/PT, the season six DVD (as well as the complete series collection, out on DVD and Blu-ray August 24) will continue the saga with upwards of twenty minutes of additional storyline.

“It’s in production now,” confirms the source, who couldn’t yet confirm the actual running time of the new scenes. “Damon and Carlton wanted to offer fans answers to additional questions they couldn’t get to in the body of the final show.”

Given all the time Lost has spent lately on Jacob (Mark Pellegrino) and the Man in Black (Terry O'Quinn), you might think they're the key to the show or something. They're not.

"It would be mis-categorizing to think this is the epitome of what Lost is," executive producer Damon Lindelof tells TVGuide.com. "Obviously the island was there before these babies were born, and lots of things were going on before they came there. What those stories are isn't relevant to the story we told, which is the crash of Oceanic 815 and what the ultimate fates of the survivors are."

Lindelof's explanation of what to expect echoes a line Jacob delivered to the Man in Black in the Season 5 finale: "It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress."

"I wish that we could say that the finale is going to be enormously definitive," Lindelof says. "We found that when we told people that we've got definitive answers coming, it's not as definitive as the fans want it to be, therefore there's this ongoing and vociferous debate about what things mean.

"All we can say is: Lost is only ending once," he adds. "There's only one finale. There's not a question mark at the end of the end. There's not a dot, dot, dot. This is our story and it's over. Hopefully there's going to be a lot of interpretation in its wake."

"This was a pilot where the question asked secondary to 'What is the monster?' was 'How will you sustain this as a TV series?'" he says. "If I had said, 'We'll be fine for 120 episodes, and then we'll end it,' nobody ever would've believed it, including me. I think the show is a blessing and we're really grateful to be here."

I dunno exactly when it happened because as i said first it was Sawyer who "caught" me but then i started to see this man who just trusted this mysterious island, a man of faith and when he chose Booboone to be his disciple, i was 'jealous" because i wanted to be his lol I fall for LOST because of John Locke, i never fall so hard for a show 'cause of a character shown me how beautiful the island was, i just knew if i was on the island and it could be Jack vs Locke, no matter how crazy his ideas could be or his faith on the island, i could just follow him with blind eyes. John Locke was the reason i never stopped to love and be amazed by LOST. Now, he's dead but what he tried to show to Jack for years finally worked, for me a part of Locke "lives" in Jack but I still wish he could be the one to be here and show people what the island really is.

R.I.P. John Locke, man of faith, you made me fall for LOST so hard and I thank you for that.
here one of the best amazing scene for Locke and when i watch it, i just simply cry and be amazed how he was a broken man and lose faith on the island an instant until the light (desmond lol) brings him to "life"

I started to watch LOST with "The Moth", I finished Smallville and i was let's try this new show my friend talk me about and i just FALL for Sawyer as fast i saw him, the bad boy, the asshole, with the Moth I was wow I like him lol then we got Confidence Man and i was I fall for him simply. I was touched by his storyline, My fav scene of this episode is when he tells Kate about the real Sawyer, i knew i couldn't stop to watch this show just 'cause i wanted to learn more about this man then I fall for Locke very fast too but today it was when LOST caught me and i wanted to share this story with you. Nestor Carbonell and Henry Ian Cusick tease the end of 'Lost'

Henry Ian Cusick and Nestor Carbonell were never going to tell a table of reporters anything about the ending of "Lost," but in Carbonell's case, he has a good excuse: He doesn't know.

The show's stars, including Cusick and Carbonell were given scripts containing 10 of 11 actors. Cusick received the 11th act, but Carbonell did not. [Yes, that's probably a spoiler regarding the presence, or lack thereof, of Desmond and Richard Alpert in the last act of "Lost." Perhaps. Or maybe not.]

"I never got the last act and I didn't ask for it after because I just really want to watch it with America how it ends," Carbonell explained at a Saturday (May 15) press day for many of the shows in the Disney-ABC empire. "I want to be surprised. I was happy with how they specifically with my character and with what I read about they resolved a lot of the dynamics of the characters. They did an amazing job and I'm looking forward to the final resolution."

Actually, there's some confusion as to whether or not Cusick does, in fact, know how "Lost" ends.

"I think in act 11 there is a secret scene that no one got," Cusick says. "Only the people who are in it, but nobody knows. Everyone is keeping very quiet about it."

That's pretty ambiguous, right?

Asking Cusick and Carbonell whether the finale will please "Lost" fans earned similarly ambiguous responses.

"What's great about the show is that there are so many talking points," Cusick says. "There are so many walks of life getting together to talk about the show and so many issues to be brought up and that's exactly what the ending will bring up. People will be talking about it for weeks afterwards and that's what the show has always done"

Adds Carbonell, "I think that's a really good point. It has people talking about Biblical themes, mythological themes and literature, science verses religion. The big questions in life -- incredible questions. At the heart of the show are these characters that they created, these really complex characters layered with so much misbehavior. No one is completely good and no one is completely evil. They are just well drawn out characters and that's the heart of the show. I think the finale, without giving anything away, will bring some resolution to a lot of the dynamics between those characters and relationships"

The two-and-a-half-hour finale, on May 23, is the broadcast event of the year: the network is charging $900,000 per 30-sec. ad, more than anything save the Oscars and the Super Bowl. It's also that if you're a Lost fan, you would kill me. This is a show that for six seasons has stretched the ambitions and challenged the assumptions of network television. Its intensely devoted fan base has been not just watching Lost but poring over it, dissecting details, formulating theories — and avoiding the numerous spoilers, real and bogus, that are swirling around even now. Composed of students from the Colburn School of Performing Arts and nine members of Giacchino's "Lost" ensemble, the "Lost Live" orchestra will perform seven songs from "Lost." Several "Lost" actors -- Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, Naveen Andrews, Michael Emerson and Nestor Carbonell -- will also participate in the program.

"For me, it's about the fact that I get to bring this to the people that allowed us to do this for six years -- the fans who are so devoted to the show," Giacchino said. "It's really something pretty special when you get to bring it to them personally like this."

On Monday night, I attended a rehearsal for the event at the Colburn School. Cuse, who came up with the idea for "Lost Live," which will benefit Colburn, also made an appearance.

"If you were to close your eyes and try to identify a television show just by the music, 'Lost' is one of the very few shows that you would be able to do that," Cuse said.

Pellegrino: I've been hearing that. I've been hearing quite a bit about that. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: A lot of fans griped after the episode because they still felt confused about the mythology. Will there be more explanation in the last few episodes?
Pellegrino: There will be. There will be some ends tied, but I can't guarantee that for everyone. People have been debating the meaning of the show and the various subplots for years, and I wonder if all of the questions are going to be answered. That's a tall order, but I think many people will be satisfied.

TVGuide.com: All along we thought Jacob was a good guy, but he's not as good as we thought.
Pellegrino: On a certain level, the line between good and evil has an indistinctive blurring. I think there's a lot of crossover in the show. That doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not good, though. Things will become clearer in the next episode, definitely. I think you'll make up your mind one way or the other for sure, but it's not going to be clean and pristine. You'll definitely come down on one side or the other.

TVGuide.com: How did Jacob go from a mama's boy to a man of confidence?
Pellegrino: I think there's a transformation that takes place when my mother gives me the wine. It opens certain doors for me. I think living for almost 2000 years — just the simple act of living, thinking and turning over ideas — can lead, hopefully, to a kind of wisdom.

Michael Emerson: Ben's about to form a dangerous new alliance

I'm not one of those people who believes actors are their characters. I've never slapped Dominic Monaghan for Charlie's attack on Sun and I wouldn't hold Harold Perrineau responsible for Michael's murderous actions. But there were a couple moments during my chat with Michael Emerson where Ben Linus came through so clearly, I experienced a chill.

Part of what makes the "Lost" creation so creepy is the cadence with which Michael delivers those deliciously diabolical lines. And that unmistakable voice exists 24/7, so when he talked about their May 23 series finale being something audiences will have to "chew on," I shivered.

In addition to inducing chills, Michael also gave me goosebumps while talking about "Lost's" final few episodes. Not only because he admits to still be figuring out the epic finale, but because his flash-sideways admission has me rethinking everything I believed to be true.

PopWrap: This must be a weird time for you all -- you've filmed the finale, but no one's seen it yet.
Michael Emerson: Yeah, it is a kind of limbo, which is ironic given the show [laughs].

PopWrap: Currently Ben is off with Alpert and Miles -- what exactly are they doing and when will we see Ben again?
Michael: They have gone to get explosives and Alpert is determined to blow up the plane because he feels like the man in black must never leave the island. [He's back] next week and Ben has a lot to do in the subsequent episodes.

PW: Does that mean we'll see Ben with Alex again?
Michael: I’m not even trying to be coy, but you will see them together again, however, not in the shape you expect it.

PW: What else can you tease about the final few episodes?
Michael: Well, we're almost done with Ben’s flash-sideways journey. Most of what we have with Ben from now on will be in the present island narrative. And in the coming weeks Ben ends up in a new and dangerous alliance that has a surprising outcome.

PW: The flash-sideways added another incarnation of Ben to your repertoire -- do you have a particular favorite version of Ben to play?
Michael: I haven’t consciously played any different Bens until the flash-sideways in season six. I know that he looks, talks and is a great deal like island-Ben, but the recipe is completely recalculated. He has many of the same qualities but they’re in a different part of the spectrum of human traits. It was an exciting opportunity to create another character -- like, what would Ben have been if he were more like us. Those qualities were fun to try and flesh out.

PW: A lot of fans have wondered what the actual purpose for the flash-sideways is -- will it eventually be explained?
Michael: Yes, but they’re not going to spoon feed it to you. For me, the ending of the series required some analysis. It’s not given to you on a dish, neatly organized with a fancy bow put on the end of it. What it does have is a great soulfulness and the ending is human scale.

PW: You mention that Ben's off-island journey is almost done, how so?
Michael: You won’t realize this until the series is done, but more than anyone else’s flash-sideways – his [episode, "Dr. Linus"] resolved Ben’s character. You may not feel that way yet, but it brought us very close to wrapping things up his arc. What I mean is, if you never saw Ben again in the series, you could look back after the finale and think, “oh, OK – I’m at peace with the way he wrapped up.”

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse on the End (?) of Lost

Has it sunk in yet that you're done filming?
Carlton Cuse: No. Because while we have locked the cut editorially, we're still doing a lot of work. Excuse us for being on our cell phones, but we're on route to the scoring stage where Michael Giacchino is going to be recording all of the music for the finale with a live orchestra. We have a lot of work and visual effects to do. I think it really will sink in on the 24th when we are literally done-done.

So there was no moment at the wrap party when someone had too much to drink and yelled out, "Let's do a season seven!" followed by a round of cheers?
Damon Lindelof: [Laughs.] We haven't gotten that drunk yet.

So it sounds like you're ready to move on.
Cuse: I think we've been prepared for a long time for the ending of the show. I think that we feel certain that it was the right decision. We're prepared for it. I think that there will certainly be a mourning period when it's all said and done. It's funny: There's this special feature for the DVDs in which some other show-runners discuss what it's like ending a show. There's an interview with Stephen Cannell [The A-Team, The Greatest American Hero, Wiseguy] who said that he's produced something like 42 television series, for network television, and he never ended any of them on his own terms. We're far more grateful for the fact we're able to do this on our own terms. I think that's the emotion, at least at this moment, that outweighs the other ones.

Tonight's episode, "Across the Sea," focuses on Jacob and the Man In Black. When were these guys first conceived?
Lindelof: We had to start talking about the overall mythology of the island in greater detail in the cracks between the first and second seasons, before our characters went down into the hatch. That conversation basically kicked out into the other major arc of the second season. Which was: Who are the Others? Who are these other people on the island, and who was their leader? And who was he receiving his instructions from? By the time the show got into its third season, we started to hear references to this character, Jacob. And I think it's safe to say that those conversations started then.

Do you think some fans get disappointed when they find out that everything wasn't plotted out from the first episode?
Cuse: I think the answer is, once we announced the end date, I think a lot of those concerns went away. I can't imagine that there are many authors that are able to, basically, conceive something entirely beforehand. We feel strongly that the show would be worse if we were just marching forward. The creative process is not like a situation where you get struck by a single lightning bolt. You have ongoing discoveries and there's ongoing creative revelations. Yes, it's really helpful to be marching toward a specific destination, but, along the way, you must allow yourself room for your ideas to blossom, take root, and grow. I think that's how we approached the show: We had a rough idea of certain things, a specific idea about other things. Over six years, everything got a lot richer and fuller because we spent all that time thinking about the show and thinking about how to make the show better.

As opposed to someone like George Lucas who, today, claims he knew the entire arc of Star Wars when he was filming the first movie. Even his old interviews prove that's not true.
Lindelof: Totally. The other thing is, we never had the hubris or the audacity to try and plot out too far in advance, because we didn't even know if the viewers were going to want another season of Lost. Just to say in season three that we'll end the show after season six, then people decide they hated the show in season four, there wouldn't have even have been a season five. You have to focus on what's in front of you. If J.K. Rowling was only thinking about the seventh Harry Potter book when she was writing the third one, she wouldn't have been able to write the third one. You kind of have to say, "Hey, we have a cool idea for this character named Jacob and his nemesis, the Man in Black. But let's not put that idea in front of the audience until we're really ready to start telling that chapter of the story. We'll allude to it, because we have it in mind. In the meantime, this chapter of the story is that the island is moving through time and that's what the characters are dealing with right now. If you throw Jacob and the Man in Black into that story, people's heads are going to explode.

This week’s episode, “Across the Sea,” is especially unique for ‘Lost’ in that if features barely any regular cast members, yourself included. What is this episode out to accomplish?
The episode takes place in a… time and place completely unexpected. That choice is unusual for our show or any show I’ve ever seen.

One of the few things we know is that ‘The West Wing’s Allison Janney guest-stars as “Woman.” I suppose if you’re going to ask someone to do the heavy lifting, a three-time Emmy winner is a good call.
Yeah, and I suspect that if you asked her now, she would say the lifting might have been too heavy. Our show is rough – the days are long, and the working conditions sometimes are kind of grim – but from everything I hear, she gives a really compelling performance. People should be very interested to see what goes on in that episode.

Maggie Grace Returns to Lost

On May 23, Lost concludes its wild six-season run with visits from characters who lost their lives to bullets, drownings and one very angry smoke monster. That includes bratty Shannon Rutherford, played by Maggie Grace, gunned down by Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) in Season 2. “As fans of our own show, seeing Shannon again was personally very important to us,” says executive producer Carlton Cuse, remaining tight-lipped to the very end as to how the dead—if they even are still dead—might be interacting with the living. “Shannon’s role in the finale is important to fortifying the theme of what it is we’re doing,” hints exec producer Damon Lindelof. “She will be bringing all her baggage.” Fortunately, life for Grace is far breezier.

You’re the last dead Lostie to make a return. What’s the best part of going back?
For me, it was like a glorious college reunion. This was my second family at age 20, so to be able to see everyone again was pretty impactful.

What was most special about going back?
Seeing how everyone’s lives have changed on a personal level, like hanging out with Josh [Holloway, who plays Sawyer], [his wife] Yessie and their offspring [1-year-old daughter Java]. It’s kind of incredible to see two of your friends put together in this tiny human being. I also took a drive in the rain along the coast where I used to live.

Have you kept up with the plot since you left?
I don’t even have a TV right now because I’m out of town so much. But we’ve always operated on the fact that it’s best to know only what your character knows and nothing more.

Did you have fun reuniting with Ian Somerhalder [who plays Shannon’s brother Boone]?
Of course. He’s based in Atlanta [where he films The CW’s The Vampire Diaries] and looked a little bit pale. He has to wear more sunscreen now than he did during our early days in Hawaii.

What can you tell us about the final days of shooting?
A whole group of us stayed up for a couple days straight shooting through the nights so we were all a little punch drunk. We had a guitar circle like old times where Naveen [Andrews, Sayid]) and Terry [O’Quinn, Locke] blessed us with their incredible vocal stylings. At one point, Ian [Cusick, Desmond] sang Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah.” Shockingly well I might add.

It seems we’re learning that the island won’t let its inhabitants go until it is in some way done with them. Did the finale give you a deeper understanding as to why Shannon died when she did?
I always felt Shannon died at the beginning of her transformation, so now I absolutely feel this gives Shannon a sense of closure that I did not feel before.

You play an assassin in the upcoming film “Faster.” After getting shot on Lost, that must feel pretty empowering.
Exactly. It’s like, “Take that, Ana Lucia!” Now I’m rocking my own Ruger .454.

How could you not love Jorge Garcia? Over the past six seasons on 'Lost,' he's made us laugh, cry and crave Dharma-brand ranch dressing as the Island's most resounding voice of reason.

After last week's gut-wrenchingly good episode, Jorge gave me the dish on switching gears this week to tell a completely different story (Jacob and the Man in Black as kids!), Hurley taking charge again, his favorite 'Lost' couple, if we'll see more of Hurley and Libby before the end, who he thinks is really not safe on the Island and the big, wet, exhausting finale which made him "very satisfied."

He also refers to the off-Island "flashes" of memory as "waking up" ... several times. And then says something about wanting to "go to sleep now" in the finale. New timeline theory? Or just an interesting choice of words? Either way, it'll make Hurley fans love him even more.

"Lost" stars past and present Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn and Harold Perrineau are all confirmed to appear live on ABC's special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" post-"Lost" finale episode on Sunday, May 23 at 12:05 a.m.

Also making "special appearances" (we assume not in the studio) are Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly. The special -- “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE: ALOHA TO LOST”-- will also include "an exclusive look at THREE ALTERNATIVE FINAL SCENES from the minds of executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse."

Lindelof and Cuse have previously promised to go into hiding after the "Lost" finale airing, and won't be live in studio.

Lost has been one of the highest-rated TV dramas since making its debut, in 2004, with a U.S. viewing audience that has ranged from 11 million to 23 million and a greater combined number of viewers tuning in from an estimated 160 countries around the world, but with its crazy sci-fi philosophy, head-scratching supernatural elements, and impossible-to-track plotlines, it's really a cult show at heart. Die-hard fans have learned the secret handshake, while casual viewers look in from time to time and pose questions like “Wait, did that guy just turn into smoke?”

The show belongs to Damon Lindelof more than anyone else. He is the only Lost co-creator who has had a major say in every episode from the J. J. Abrams—directed pilot onward. But even though he's the man more or less in charge of this wild beast, Lindelof suffers the same anxieties experienced by Lost devotees, who wonder, as the finale approaches, how it's all going to come out.

This is understandable, when you consider that Lindelof is the one who must bring closure to a series that started off simply enough, like a fictional Survivor, only to morph into a hairy show that has made room for time travel, an alternate universe, and more romantic entanglements than you'll find on a Telemundo soap opera.

Lindelof says he dreams about Lost all the time: “The most common dream is we have produced an episode that is catastrophically bad, and we have got to figure out a way to fix it. There's a whole series of things that are very confusing to me, and I'm like, ‘Why did we even do this?’ There have also been dreams where I'm interacting with the actors, and there's a blurring of the line as to whether or not we're in the show.”

'Lost' finale by extra half-hour!

The producers of ABC's hit drama have shot so much crucial material for the show's hugely anticipated series finale that the network has agreed to extend the last episode by an extra half hour.

When the "Lost" finale airs on Sunday, May 23rd, the episode will run from 9 to 11:30 p.m. The overrun will push back local news, with the previously announced "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost" post-finale special now airing at 12:05 a.m. ABC is expected to announce the plan on tonight's episode of Kimmel.

Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof just completed post-production on the finale -- titled "The End" -- on Monday night. Both sent out identical Tweets: "We're done. Amen."

The supersizing of the finale is the latest adjustment to what might as well be called "The 'Lost' Weekend." ABC is airing an "enhanced" (pop-ups) version of the show's original two-hour pilot on May 22. On Sunday there's a two-hour retrospective titled "Lost: The Final Journey," followed by the finale, then the local news (which was preempted in the first-blush recounting of this plan) and Kimmel post-show.

Lost Kills Off Fan-Favorites - What Does It Mean for the Finale?

Spoiler Warning: This article contains details from Tuesday night's episode of Lost, including which characters died. Reader, beware!]

After waiting nearly two years for a sweet reunion, Sun (Yunjin Kim) and Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) took their last breath in the submarine — a Charlie Pace-like death — in Tuesday night's episode of Lost. So, was that really the end of Sun and Jin Kwon? Yunjin Kim discusses what we'll see of the star-crossed lovers in the final episodes, along with teasing the last scene of the series and more.

TVGuide.com: I'll admit that I did shed a few tears after your death in Tuesday's episode. The Sun and Jin reunion was so short-lived!
Yunjin Kim: It was a brilliant way to end Sun and Jin's life on the island. Because of the way the story is going, especially once we get to Episode 15, 16 and 17, it's moving at a pretty fast pace. Let's say if Jin dies alone, Sun would only grieve for Jin for two seconds and we'd have to move on with the storyline. It was a very romantic death.

TVGuide.com: The episode was jampacked with death, especially with Sayid (Naveen Andrews) taking one for the team.
Kim: Yeah, I think we all become heroes at the end as far as the island story goes. I have a feeling that's how the series is going to end. Sayid's death is very abrupt and ours is very drawn out. Daniel and I both had water pouring on top of our heads while shooting it, so it was hard to even keep our eyes open. It was physically demanding.

TVGuide.com: How did you feel when the producers told you that your characters were going to die?
Kim: As soon as I got on the phone with Damon Lindelof, he said "This phone call is not one of those phone calls." He told me how it was going to happen and I actually thought it was a beautiful ending to both of the characters. It will only propel the other survivors to go after Locke [Terry O'Quinn], and have a very good reason to go after Locke as aggressively as they do in the final episodes.

Daniel Dae Kim on 'Lost' Finale: 'I Wanted to Find Some Kind of Closure'

As Lost's series finale nears (May 23), the pieces of the hit show's puzzle-filled plot are slowly coming together. And while the secrets of the final episodes are being kept under lock and key, Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin Kwon, is dropping a few hints about what's to come.

Last week, Jin and his wife Sun reunited and Lost fans rejoiced. What's it like knowing that viewers are so connected to your character?
"It's nice when someone thinks that anything I've worked on has had an impact. I think it's a testament to the strength of the show and how well everyone works together. The fact that people care about our characters says something nice about how far the journey of Jin and Sun has come because when you look at the pilot, you weren't necessarily thinking that these were characters that you're going to really care about. And the fact that people do means a lot."
Becoming the Romeo and Juliet of Lost.
"That's exactly how I like to put it. They're the Shakespearean love story and we'll see whether it's a tragedy or a happy ending."

Are Jin and Sun meant to be?
"Yes, I do think they're meant to be. I absolutely think they're meant to be. And I think there's not an ounce of doubt in Jin's mind about that."
What it's been like having to let go of Jin.
"I have to be honest, I'm still in the process. I really have grown very fond of him. It's always weird to me when actors talk about their characters in the third person, but in this case, I've lived with this character for six years so he's become a part of me. So it's going to be like a favorite suit that I won't be wearing again and that's a little bit sad."

The burning question of who, between Jin and Sun Kwon, is the "candidate."
"It's only the last name, and as far as I know there are three Kwons."

Elizabeth Mitchell tells me that not long ago she filmed scenes that may… or may not… figure into the aforementioned finale, but for certain do offer resolution to “a lot of the Juliet stuff” – cryptic coffee dates and messages to Miles perhaps included. “What they chose to do was very satisfying, and what I shot was really interesting, so I can’t wait to see it,” she says. Might her final scenes be romantic, involving island Sawyer and/or Sideways Jack? “I can’t say,” the star of ‘V’ hedged. “I wish I could, but they want it to be completely secret.” Fair ’nuff.
