What's Next: It seems that Kate will finally have to choose between Jack and Sawyer. She'll also have some 'splainin to do to Claire about why she decided to kidnap her son, Aaron, and raise him as her own.

What's Next: Although the fall itself didn't kill her, the executive producers have made it clear that Juliet is dead, leaving Sawyer heartbroken. The detonation of the bomb could put Sawyer happily back on Oceanic 815 or perhaps he'll flash back to 2008 to help take down Un-Locke. Wherever he lands, we're pretty certain we can expect two things: more unresolved tension with Kate and at least one more power struggle with Jack.

What's Next: When Sayid shot little Ben, his story line exploded with potential, but after Richard saved Ben ("he'll never be the same"), that loose end was tied up. Sayid's story is winding down, and it's hard to imagine what more we could learn about him.

What's Next: Carbonell has been upgraded to a series regular for the final season, so plan on seeing plenty of him and learning more about that link he has with Ilana. Also: He and Jacob don't appear to age. Unlocking that mystery will be central to cracking the island's code.

Lost bonus s5 : Darlton Commentary for Because you left

Hi guys, i didn't put all the commentary but the part i'm interested, first it's vid of part i found funny or interesting about Jack, Sun and Sayid&Hurley
second it's related to time travel, daniel and his relationship with desmond and charlotte

Nestor Carbonell Becomes Lost Season Regular

Lost's Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) will finally be a series regular next season. "I'm moving my whole family to Hawaii next week," Nestor tells me. "This whole time I've been flying back and forth, but now I'll be living on the island with the others. They tell me I'll be in 16 of the 18 episodes." Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof say his backstory will take a significant time to reveal. Adds the actor: "Obviously Richard doesn't age, so I'm most curious to know how old he is and if he's in fact pulling the strings.

We'll also be meeting young Kate, young Tom ( Kate's friend from Iowa), young Juliet, young Rachel (Juliet's sister) and young Sawyer, and several of those sightings happen because a pivotal figure in the Island mythology wants to check in on our heroes in their youth, à la Richard Alpert's test visit ("Which of these are yours?") to John Locke.

'Lost' exclusive: The second half of season 5's new mystery duo

Hungry for an appetizer of Lost scoop as you impatiently starve for the start of season 5, which bows in early ’09? Then feast on this: Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof tell EW they’ve just completed casting of two major new characters joining their saga next year. Last week, Michael Ausiello reported the addition of New Amsterdam alum Zuleikha Robinson. This week, we’d like to introduce you to Saïd Taghmaoui, a French thesp most recently seen in the Don Cheadle thriller Traitor. He’ll play Caesar, a mystery man who...um...well, that’s all we got. But the producers say the actor’s skill set fits the part. “He has an innate intelligence, intensity, and danger we really responded to,” says Lindelof, who declined to specify whether Caesar is good or bad. However, Cuse teases that the character will be playing “an important part of the setup for the final act of the show in season 6." He also confirms that Robinson’s Ilana is associated with Caesar, and likens her to Heath Ledger’s Joker in The Dark Knight. “There was something very unsettling about the way the Joker kept telling different stories about his background -- something very similar to what we had planned for Ilana,” he says.

Look for a delayed introduction for the duo, beginning with an intriguing setup followed by a gradual increase in screen time that won't detract from established faves, much like how season 4’s newbies, the Freighter Folk (Jeremy Davies, Rebecca Mader, Ken Leung, Jeff Fahey), were worked into the mix. (The producers say we’ll be seeing more of the FF next year, too — even Fahey, last seen escaping the Island with the Oceanic 6).

FYI: Zuleikha rhymes with You-Like-A, while Saïd sounds just like Lost’s own Sayid. In fact, Taghmaoui also played — get this — the Iraqi soldier who tortured Mark Wahlberg in Three Kings. Should theorists be looking for hidden meaning in this seemingly coincidental linkage? “No,” says Lindelof. “Just...no.” Oh, okay. But how about the theory that Smokey is...[Click] Hello? Hello?!

Matt: Though the cancellation of Cane certainly freed him up — and the Lost bosses have been clear about their big plans for the time-traveling, never-aging Mr. Alpert — "series regular" status still eludes Carbonell. Even so, a spy tells me we will see Richard very early in the new season... and often. As for your Locke's Daddy theory, that was a new one to the few moles I ran it by.

Was at Camp Erdman on Sunday. Was told that a Dharma Initiative film was shot last week with Francois Chau. Also visited beach camp, which is still dismantled but visible in a bit of a heap on the left hand side of the set. Filming not expected back there for 3 weeks (?)

What a treat it was to go to work yesterday and LOST was filming right in front of my store in Kaimuki on Waialae St. It was a Car Chasing scene definitely set in LA as I could tell from the cop car. Hurley had blood on him, and Sayid was also on the set. I couldnt make a connection story wise. There was a black man in a business suit with a suit case as well...

As some of you keep pointing out the name "I am Joe King" makes you think this is a foiler. Well "I am Joe King" is a regular set watcher in Hawaii and is known by that name and has had dealings with Ryan from Hawaii Blog several time. Don't let his funny name put you off. :)

Thanks to DarkUFO reader I am Joe King for the following report from the set. This seems to imply that Episode 5.03 could well be a Hurley Flashforward and a hallucination scene.

In Kaimuki, they were filming at the corner of 9th and Waialae Avenue. It is an accident scene where Hurley(stunt double was driving) speeds down the street and knocks over some boxes on the sidewalk before driving off. He's being chased by someone you'll never guess..... Ana-Lucia in a Police car.

She was in the car the whole time, so I couldn't 100% confirm it was her but I'm pretty sure. I just don't want to speculate and be wrong. She had HUGE glasses on. I'm guessing flashback or hallucination. I should add that the stunt guy was wearing hospital type garb, so that's why I think it is in the present.

Anyway we took some pics of the old beach from season 1, the waterfall, the other's houses, etc. At the end of the day we decided to look at one more site, Police Beach, and we came up on them shooting a beach scene. In the scene was Sawyer, Juliet, Charlotte, Miles, AND Faraday. The raft was on the beach. It seemed that Faraday was telling them something but we weren't aloud to get to close. So Faraday's alive or......it's a flashback of some sorts. lol

Lyly : opinion, i was so sure when the island moved dan did the same and i think too everyone in the ocean ! So i guess jin did too :) maybe i'm wrong but for now i was right lol

5x03 : Locke and Richard

Me and my wife watched as both Terry O'quinn and Nestor Carbonell ran from armed men. This was episode 5.03 according to the crew. Someone on set said that the scene they filmed previously was the set up to the shooting and chase and that involved Locke and Alpert running across the island to a rock formation with a square in it from a previous season. The guard said the Alpert character retrieves some sort of device on the way to the rock formation and he uses this device along with the rock formation with the hole in it to discover what year it is. Can you tell me what season this rock formation is in because we are clueless about that?

I'm not sure which episode they were filming this week but a friend of mine who works at Waimea Falls Park told me this story about the filming going on there this week.

She saw Locke in a big banyan tree. He was in some type of stunt harness and was up in the tree facing the tree trunk. It looked like he was trying to climb the tree. And here's the good part...he gets shot in his upper thigh. She saw Locke's stunt double get into the harness at some point too.

Nestor Carbonal was on set too but she couldn't verify that he did the shooting.

Also, there was a small Cessna type crashed plane at the same set very close by.

SPOILER ALERT! Updated Sept. 3 at 7:24 a.m. HST. The “LOST” production crew was hard at work the day after Labor Day, spotted on opposite ends of the island. At least two units were filming today, one in Waikiki and the other on the North Shore.

This morning, I was directed into Waikiki, where workers were just setting up for a shoot at King Kalakaua Plaza. Under it, to be precise, in the parking garage for Niketown and Banana Republic.

And sitting in the corner, waiting for its cue, was Dr. Jack Shephard’s trusty steed, the old Ford Bronco.


But that’s not all. My wife Jen and I happened to have dinner last night with Dustin and Elvee, visiting “LOST” fans we first met at Comic Con in San Diego. And they just happened to be headed out to the North Shore today.

I encouraged them to stop by the beach set at Papailoa, a.k.a. Police Beach, as I’d heard there’d been some goings on lately. And sure enough, “LOST” was filming there today, too.

Says Dustin:

“Saw Sawyer, Rose, Bernard, Juliet, Miles and Charlotte. First scene we saw had Sawyer, Bernard, Rose, and Juliet. They appeared to be having a conversation in the jungle. Second scene had Charlotte and Miles, going back to camp. We watched for about 90 minutes. According to one of the crew, it was for Episode 5×01.”

I also heard from Carole from Chicago, who sends this report:

We went out and saw them filming a scene with Elizabeth Mitchell and Josh Holloway. We also saw Vincent the dog! The scene had Sawyer, shirtless and in jeans, talking to Juliette. We also think they may have been shooting with “Rose” as well, as when we were walking by, we heard someone ask if Rose was ready and miked up… When we made our way back, security for the property saw us and then walked us through a wooded trail back to our car — because if we would have went back via the beach, we would have been in the shot. As we walked through the woods, we saw some tent-like structures that were probably used at some point for filming. Because we didn’t want to get into trouble, I only snapped photos from far away. I did get a good one of Vincent though!

The LOST crew was at the Waimano Home, where once again the crew was filming more hospital scenes. Yet, this time around the LOST set was setup to look like the 1950s era!!
Ryan confirmed that the scene included a baby and a young Emily Locke!!

However, the real kicker was the appearance of a well dressed Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) on set and after speaking with Ryan about Carbonell's appearance. He really feels that Carbonell was in full wardrobe as the "ageless" Alpert and not just visiting the set....!!

If you just said....OMG!! WTF!? Well I agree!!

There was no confirmation about Alpert being a part of this scene, but I agree with Ryan about him being so well dressed just to "visit" the set. Also, apparently Terry O' Quinn (Locke) is scheduled to be on set tomorrow!!

So what does it all mean you ask!? Yup, that is right Richard Alpert is at Locke's birth!? So was Alpert traveling through time under Ben's orders or perhaps with Locke back to his birth...!? Is Locke the chosen one and Alpert and the natives of the island knew this all before the crash even happened!? Could this be more evidence to the Set-Up Theories!?

BTW, this does confirm that this episode is indeed a Locke Centric Flashback.

Here are the details from Ryan:

LOST found its way deep in the forest above Pearl City today at the old Waimano Home complex. The area is known today mostly for great ridge and valley hiking, and the drab buildings — formerly a mental institution — now house offices for the state’s public safety and health departments. As it turns out, the drab, decrepit concrete structures were exactly the look “LOST” was going for. The scene being filmed takes place in a hospital maternity ward, but the mood seemed anything but joyous.

Wardrobe seemed decidedly rooted in the 1950s, from the hospital staff to the dapperly dressed men and women scattered around the set. One of the main faces was familiar, the other was not. Nestor Carbonell (the much-missed Richard Alpert) was spotted, looking especially stylish in a suit. But the center of attention was a distraught woman in her 20s. I have no idea who the actress was, but her character’s name may ring a bell: Emily.

Emily who? Well, it would be one of the (real, not TV) nurses who would help connect the final dots, just mentioning offhand one of the babies on the set today. A baby whose adult incarnation was apparently expected to be on the scene tomorrow. And a baby whose mother we have seen before… just much, much older: Emily Locke. Yes, the very one who sold her son out, and who also spent some time in Santa Rosa.

Imagining the eerily ageless Richard Alpert off-island in the 1950s is amazing enough. But could it be that he was there for John Locke’s birth? The mind boggles.

With Paul Edwards in the director’s chair, my guess is that this is all for Episode

I've just received some info from one of my trusted sources.

It appears that Michael Emerson and Yunjin Kim have just flown into Heathrow for some London based filming along with Jack Bender. My source is speculating that this could be some scenes from the Finale although this part is purely speculation based on Jack Bender directing previous Finale's.

So whose episode could this be seeing that it is based in London, and what are they doing in London?

Are they confronting Widmore whose office is based in London?
