Here we go again, sorry i didn’t make it more early, i’m sick since days and i’ve no real energy to focus on a review but today i’m better (of course i’m LOST DAY uh ? Maybe i got some magical meds don’t you think? ;) ) well anyways I’ve rewatched this episode so here my review !
What Kate Does wasn’t a favorite episode for a lot of people, maybe ‘cause since years Kate isn’t one of the favorite characters, I never understood that but that you like her or not, since Darlton do so i’ll say only you’ve to deal with it or skip her episodes and be lost a little more ‘cause you’ll have missed a lot of clue about the FS or even why Sawyer left, why Sayid is “claimed”, Why Kate chose to leave the temple or helps claire or even More, missing the return of Clairourou uh ? So yes Now i think you got why you can’t skip it.
Last episode we left our losties with the Kumbayahers and also SAYID IS ALIVE !! Is he ?
Well that’s the question we still wonder, i mean yes he’s but it’s him ?
Well i’ll try to explain my theory on this review maybe i’m wrong (of course i’m lol) but here what I thought.
One line Sayid said to Jack and Co remind me a year ago when Ilana asked Flockey what do you remember
He said I remember dying
We thought he was speaking of Locke’s death but now we can assume he was speaking of something else maybe the fact smokey was maybe more than a smoke monster at first, maybe he is dead at first before to become what we know for years.
So when Sayid said I remember being shot, of course he can mean himself but a little bird told me it’s maybe more than that, future will tell me if i’m right.
Now why Sayid who almost killed Ben Potter was saved and why not Juliet like Sawyer seems to be angry about ?
I think our losties didn’t crash for nothing on the island, they’ve mission and until it’s not done, they can’t die or at least they can’t live in peace. So why Juliet wasn’t saved and Sayid was ? Why Jacob didn’t save her life too or chose her instead of Sayid ?
I think the answer was given when we saw WHO jacob visited off the island, he never visited Juliet, Juliet was mean to come on the island and probably hit the bomb and maybe allow us to see this FS at some point if this reality wasn’t here before, afterall it’s LOST we can’t never know. So why Sayid and why not Juliet, that’s the reason I think.
Did you hear Hurley when he said “it worked” ?
We assumed when Juliet wanted to say to Sawyer “it worked” it meant the “reset” maybe it wasn’t that afterall maybe it was the fact Sayid survived and she saw Jacob and he told her or maybe Lyly is on drug with her meds today too, well whatever i guess we can’t know and it’s fun to speculate (sometimes lol).
It was very “funny” to see the way they used to make the test, they put ashes on him and then tried to electrocuted Sayid, It remind me Star Wars at some point, when they don’t want to know anything to Han and just tortured him and then Sayid’s line was also Han’s line “they didn't ask me any questions” so Jack was his Leia at this moment and Chewie Hurley ?
Sorry i watched episode 4 yesterday and as i said early, maybe it’s my meds.
The fact he put some ashes on him give me a flash of the fact this ashes protect against smokey but if Sayid is already infected/claimed what should do the ashes ? I think the fact he put the button higher it’s ‘cause maybe Sayid should have die at this point of the test so it failed. I think he tried to save him with the ashes like a kind of exorcism, you see what i mean no ? the ashes could be used like that but it failed ‘cause it’s too much inside himself so killing Sayid could kill this darkness part in him but at the same what kind of poison he wanted to give to him ?
Anyways now I think all our losties can be claimed BUT not before they’re killed or dead on the island except I think too Dogen is wrong to say Sayid should die because afterall it’s Jacob who “bring him back” to them. I think maybe Sayid is claimed but also he can be saved because Jacob helped them, maybe also the fact Jacob touched them off the island is a way to protect them, except Locke isn’t anymore but Locke was supposed to die and Jacob brings him back to life but the others losties were alive when he met them so maybe it’s the difference.
Now Back to Jack, Jack said he can’t trust himself so he can’t trust Dogen and his Kumbayahers, a lot of review I read said Jack started his redemption and everything, i don’t think he did yet, the man of science is still in him, he can’t trust people because of course it’s miracle Sayid is alive and there is no real explanation but someone told you, you’ve to give this pill to your friend because it will redeem yourself. Jack was destroyed on the FF, he saw he was wrong, he shouldn’t leave the island so what is he waiting to get his redemption ? Do you think Locke couldn’t have give this pill to Sayid ? That’s the reason i think Jack isn’t ready yet, he can’t trust the island completely, it’s only the beginning of his journey but he’s not ready to listen the island yet. And i think it’s great because as i said i don’t think Sayid should die but at the same for me it shown Jack’s redemption is far away too.
Now let me leave the temple to be back on Kate’s journey, it was her centric afterall just I wanted to speak of Sayid and Jack first even if I prefer to speak of Kate, i’m weird don’t you think ? lol
We all know Kate went back on the island to bring Claire back to Aaron but on this episode we saw her journey just started (in contrary of Jack).
On the FS we saw a lot of this new Kate, she’s different, we could at first say she has no heart, she didn’t care of anyone but herself except until she saw the “orca” don’t it mean Kate has a “deja vu” of her other life? Sometimes people experiemente themself this “deja vu” effect, does it mean we saw another life we already lived this moment before ? Or it was simple the fact she felt guilty to abandon a pregnant woman. Maybe both, guess this season will tell us that.
So Kate’s journey started on the FS with helping Claire and on the island it was on helping Sawyer.
On the island we started with a scene pretty similar between Sawyer and Kate from season3 called “Everyman from himself” and well Sawyer was in this episode, of course in s3 he wasn’t, he really cared of saving Kate’s life more than himself but this Sawyer didn’t care of anyone else than himself.
Why i’m talking of s3 like miror to season3 well read this
KATE: What are you lookin' at?
SAWYER: How many guys with guns you think are outside this place?
KATE: What?
SAWYER: I was out cold when they brought me in here. How many guards did you see? Five? Ten? A hundred?
KATE: What are you thinking?
SAWYER: I'm thinkin' about runnin', Kate.
**********
KATE: You smiling?
SAWYER: Damn right I'm smiling. 'Cause we just got our ticket outta here.
It was pretty interesting to see once again Sawyer shared his plan with Kate except this time he didn’t want her to join him or maybe he wanted unconciously ? I think he does because when he said don’t come after me, we can see he was looking at Kate, and well Sawyer knows Kate a lot and she don’t like to be trapped so did he help her because he wanted it unconciously ?? YES
So Sawyer left and Dogen is ready to bring him back because well he knows Flockey could catch him and they’ve to protect them. Kate said she can bring him back, she knows Sawyer, she’ll convince him, Jin goes with her, maybe Jin wanted to escape at some point to find his wife ? Yes and No but knowing she’s around, don’t you think you could jump and say screw yourself i’m gonna to find my lover ?
So maybe it’s the reason they used Jin and Kate for this moment, both going to find lover/ex lover.
In their trek we learnt a little about what happened on the island, the trap of “rousseau” but Aldo don’t want to share infos, Aldo still probably upset after 3 years because Kate pushed him with her gun lol Funny they’ve to remind us who he was ‘cause i knew it was him or maybe it was to remind me what kind of girl Kate can be and fews seconds later, she proved it. She wants to escape, here we learnt Kate wasn’t ready to come back with Sawyer, so what Kate does ? she lies to Jack once again.
Even thought Jack and Kate share a bond and they’re close, Kate knows too Jack couldn’t accept her to go, he wants to know about the Kumbayahers, the temple, like Locke wanted to know about the Hatch in season2 or even Jack himself with the others in season3. Kate’s journey is different, Aaron is waiting Claire’s return, she can’t stay weeks hidding from something or someone, she made a promise and we know she really care of promise she can make. Also, even thought Claire is Jack’s sister, Jack never really cared of Aaron or Claire not because Jack don’t love them, just as i said on LA X review, Jack’s redemption is more important than family or lover or even friends even if his redemption will probably save his friends.
Also why Kate wanted Sawyer’s help and no Jack ? For Jack i just explained it, for Sawyer maybe it’s because of both of them, Aaron was separated of Claire, even if Sawyer tried to find her, he failed and then he gave Aaron to Kate so they could fix their mistake together.
So Kate runs and Jin asked her “who do you are about” even if we didn’t get the answer at this question it was simple to read between the line
Saving/Helping Sawyer and finding Claire
And you see on the FS she “found” Claire and she “saved” her, because Claire will probably keep her baby now. Speaking of Claire, even if it was weird to see this little woman agrees to stay with a woman who seems dangerous, i wasn’t surprised, our losties have bond and i think no matter what Kate could have choose to do when she was at the garage, her journey was to help Claire, like on the Island her journey was to take care of Sawyer. But on the island she didn’t save Sawyer as she could save Aaron&Claire’s future. I think the fact she “saved” Claire and Aaron’s fate on the FS, she should have a sacrifice at some point, like when Kate and Sawyer was ready to leave the island together, she lose him, she got Aaron, now this Kate let it go Aaron because finally Claire and him are together and will stay so the fact she saved once, she couldn’t save both. The episode is called “what kate does” I think because Kate runs, she cares of people, she saves them, and also lost them.
Speaking of the FS, we saw Ethan as doctor and since we know the island is under water, does it mean he never went to the island or he did and he left in 1977 with everyone after the bomb blew up ? I loved the moment Claire trusted Ethan, i know people don’t like him but it’s my thanthan and I always loved the way he cared of Claire even if of course it was to get her baby lol Claire called her baby Aaron and we saw Kate’s reaction too, it was good moment too but my fav stays the last when there is this weird bond both women have with eachother, they are strangers at some point but also they trust eachother. It’s the LOST i love, it was a simple moment but I loved to see this bond, it remind me when we saw Jack and Locke last week, they’re mean to be at some point (not romantically lol) just i mean their storyline is linked on the FS and on the island. Kudos to Eddie and Adam !
Back on the island, well right now Sawyer can’t be saved not because Kate can’t save him but as i told you it was a sacrifice because she saved Aaron and Claire on the FS, i think the FS can influence their actions on the island. I dunno why, i just thought about that when i rewatched the episode because the first time i watched i thought, Sawyer can’t be saved because he’s not over Juliet and he needs to let’s her go before to come back to his friends and care of them, true it’s true just i think since it was Kate’s centric it was more related to the FS storyline than we first thought, but as i told you, i’m probably wrong.
But speaking of Sawyer, i got sick reading Sawyer true love is Juliet, well he loves her i agree, they spent 3 years on the island (i don’t think together since he said to Horace he took him times to forget Kate and clearly he didn’t) but don’t you find weird where was his ring ? I mean, he wanted to propose her, I think he could have after they left the island on the sub ‘cause he was far far away of the real problem in their relationship “Kate”, but do I think they could have ON THE ISLAND ? NO, why ? because who put a ring under the floor and in a box ? I mean he has friends, he could have give it to Jin and say keep it for me, i’m gonna to propose to Jules soon, or Miles, or Horace and Amy ! Why under the floor ? ??
Of course it remind us Kate and Tom storyline, they loved eachother, they put the plane toy, the tape under a tree and then opened it years later maybe Sawyer put it with Juliet that’s what you think ? Well clearly Juliet forgot about it when she broke up with him in season5 or she could have mentionned it to him when she was” all it’s over us ? James, maybe this ring wasn’t good idea uh ? “
So No i don’t think Juliet knew, and i don’t think Sawyer could have ever ask her to marry him ON THE ISLAND, off and in 1977 yes probably because as i said leaving the island it was beeing far away Kate and the problem which started since she’s back, i don’t mean cheating and all, i just mean the fact Sawyer wasn’t over her.
So i think people read too much on this ring symbolic, I think it was to find similarity once again with Kate’s storyline, she got Tom, she loved him and was ready to have this perfect life with him but they weren’t mean to be and he died because of her.
Juliet was the perfect “wife” for Sawyer or Jean la tulipe, they loved eachother, they could have been happy ever after BUT they weren’t mean to be together and she died because of him at some point like Sawyer said to Kate just maybe she wanted to die ‘cause it was horrible to lose him no ?
The fact Sawyer said to Kate I think some of us are meant to be alone.
It killed me in many way, true Sawyer wanted to stay alone and he got Juliet, like Kate got Aaron and then a time Jack but it failed because Jack “asked” her to chose between her promise/Aaron and their life together. Kate chose the promise she made to Sawyer and Aaron because she couldn’t let it go yet both of them and she still can’t let go Sawyer, she said to Jin she’ll find Sawyer and they’ll figure out what to do next together. No matter what happened and Sawyer and Kate love story is “done”, for Kate it’s not done yet, she let go of Aaron and at the end of the episode she let go of Sawyer, she can’t help him BUT does it mean Sawyer and Kate storyline are over ?
I don’t know how much time i read it, i think the episode shown it because Kate didn’t CHOOSE it but she HAVE TO let him go for now, he didn’t give her choice like he didn’t give her choice when he chose to jump off the chopper, she just follow Sawyer’s choice for now and focus on her journey : which it mean finding Claire.
Claire who just found Jin and who with what Dogen said is claimed. My god does it mean she’ll kill everyone now ? does it mean Flockey can use her to get Kate on his side ?
Lost baby you’re back, and i’m ready to follow this last season !
2. Most Intriguing Return: Claire is back on Lost, and with her comes a freighter full of unanswered questions: Where has she been for three years? Is she alive or dead? Why does she remind us so much of Danielle Rousseau? And most importantly, is she destined for Danielle's same sad fate?
Here another reviewer for the Blog, I can say she's very nice girl and I always loved to read her review on forum so i thought, why not to post it here too ? let's me know what do you think of Magali's review :)
WHAT KATE DOES- RECAP AND REVIEW by Magali
The recap idea started when Lyly asked Helena who asked me, over on the Outlaws forum. I balked at it initially but figured that what the heck? If anyone online can write a review than so can I. So this is purely a fan’s perspective on the show. I don’t claim to be an expert on anything, I’m just a huge fan of Lost. Since so much goes on into one episode and I can spend hours talking about it, I will just pick the central character in the episode and go from there.
This week we saw more dimensions to Kate, so I figured I would try to tackle her and leave the mythology stuff with Jack and Sayid to other, more experienced writers.
I RUN TO YOU
When we first met Kate, she was a cute-as-a-button fugitive who killed her father and was pretty good at running away from law enforcement as well as her emotional issues. Now, five seasons later, we see Kate still has maintained some of that desperate need she had to run away. On-island, Kate runs away from Jack, only this time, she is also running to something—Sawyer.
Armed with her persuasive skills she brags about to Lennon, Kate sets off with Jin (also running towards someone, his wife, Sun) in order to find Sawyer and drag his grieving-for-Juliet ass back to the Temple, because apparently it is “very important” that he stay there with them. I don’t know if the Others know this, but if they just maybe tell everyone what is the frak is going on with the Island, then perhaps our Losties would be more inclined to listen. Ignoring Dogen’s quiet request to stay, Sawyer runs off to parts unknown, opening the door for Kate to hunt him down.
While trekking through the jungle we see that Kate has not lost some of her fugitive skills, and promptly exercises them on an unsuspecting Aldo and clueless Jason the Other. It is important to note that when Jin demands what she plans on doing when she finds Sawyer, she says “We’ll have to figure that out together.” She also makes it known that she has no intention of returning to the Temple.
Now, let’s stop here for just a moment.
Back at the Temple before we started this Journey in Search of Sawyer, we had to witness a Jack and Kate moment. I am not going to lie. I liked this scene between them. I thought it was very old-school Jack and Kate, flashing us back to season one when they had their little heart-to-hearts on the inner-workings of the Lostie leadership. Jack wants to make sure Kate is safe and if it is a good idea that she is going out to find Sawyer.
Kate lets him known rather clearly that she will be fine, and for him not to worry about Sawyer, seeing as the last time Sawyer saw Jack he threatened to kill him. It is interesting to note, that Kate is holding back some vital information. Sawyer changed his mind, in the premiere, and was content to see Jack suffer for killing Juliet rather than die for it.
Why would Kate hold that back? Could it be that she doesn’t want Jack butting in on her, pardon the pun, affairs? Whatever her intention is, it works, because she turns Jack around to go make sure Sayid is safe and convinces him that she should go out looking for Sawyer. Looks like her persuasive skills worked there pretty well.
Now we come to a nice Jack and Kate scene, with pretty music (even if it is in a dark room) and Jack, it seems, leans in ever so slightly to kiss Kate goodbye, but Kate turns away before he can make his move.
Let’s take another step back, this time to season two. In the episode “What Kate Did”, Kate kissed Jack for the first time. We can speculate on her true reasons for doing so, but it seemed that she was trying to force herself way back then that she had feelings for Jack and they were the same as her feelings for Sawyer, who at the time, was in a coma-like sleep after being shot in the shoulder.
This time, in another episode about what Kate does or did or didn’t do, there is another Jack and Kate “kiss”…sort of. They didn’t kiss. Kate knows her feelings for Jack, she doesn’t need to play along with his. She doesn’t lead him on, and turns away, leaving him behind much like she did in the season two episode, to go back to Sawyer.
Now, back to on-island season six Kate.
Kate leaves Jin, who doesn’t understand and wants to go find Sun. This is fine with Kate, because she is going to find Sawyer and they can figure out what to do next, together. Quite the contrary to Jack. She didn’t want to work out anything together with Jack. However, she does with Sawyer.
She tracks Sawyer all the way to Otherville, and to the house he shared with Juliet. Can I comment on how ridiculous it was that Sawyer hid a ring in a bag in a box under the floorboards under a dresser in a room in a house on an Island? It’s like some warped Russian doll. He must really have not wanted Juliet to find that ring. Was she a nosy person? Well, we’ll never know because right now she is buried six feet deep and covered with dirt.
This scene was so poignant on so many levels. First, Kate witnesses the true extent of Sawyer’s feelings. I have no doubt she knew he loved the woman. She knew they were living together, that they were planning on leaving on the sub together. She was right there when Juliet was hanging by a fingertip and when she fell. And she was also there, helping Sawyer into the rubble of the hatch and watching him carry out Juliet’s body.
But this is something else entirely. This time she sees him in deep mourning, and turns to leave. It isn’t going to work. They can’t figure things out together, because Sawyer is too devastated. She goes to leave, but Sawyer hears her.
It is heart-wrenching that Kate could not see Sawyer’s face as he cried over the little bag he pulled out of the flooring, just as this time Sawyer cannot see Kate’s face when she says that she was worried about him. There is a lot going on in this scene. Sawyer unsure what to make of Kate showing up. Kate unsure of where to go from there.
Well they end up going to the dock where Sawyer and Juliet have had many a moment. If we can make a simple analogy, the sub dock is to Sawyer and Juliet fans as the cages are to Sawyer and Kate fans. A place where they’ve had some big moments or at least, one big moment.
In this scene, I truly believe we see how far Kate and Sawyer have both come, and yet we see how far they also have to go. These two are nowhere near being redeemed just quite yet.
Kate proceeds to apologize for coming after him, and tells Sawyer that she came after him so they can find Claire together. Because that way she can get Claire back to Aaron and then “everything” might not have been for nothing. She then says she is sorry, again.
You already said that, Sawyer tells her. This time she is sorry for Juliet. If she hadn’t convinced them, then Sawyer and Juliet would be back in the 70s betting on the Cowboys and buying Microsoft stock. Now Juliet is dead, because of her.
Kate is taking the blame here. This is quite the leap for someone who in “What Kate Did” was blaming Wayne’s evilness for why she blew him up. She was saying she did it for her mother, she did it to protect her, save her, but nope, Diane said. You did it for you. Kate couldn’t admit it. She didn’t admit guilt for directly taking her father’s life.
Yet in this scene, she is taking guilt for Juliet’s death, when Juliet was the one that chose to go back, who chose to ultimately follow Jack.
This doesn’t work for Sawyer, who blames himself. He doesn’t blame Kate, he doesn’t blame Juliet, he doesn’t even blame Jack anymore. He blames himself. Why?
Because he asked Juliet to stay, on that very dock, right where Kate is sitting.
This could not be more symbolic. He said “right where you’re sitting.” That might as well have been an anvil that Juliet was Sawyer’s replacement, like little Aaron was Kate’s Sawyer replacement. The two of them had crutches, people they used to fill the wounds left behind by the other.
Kate knows what he’s talking about. Whether Sawyer meant the “you understand that, right?” to mean that she knows what it is like to be alone, or she knows what it is like to ask someone to stay for you, or if he meant it as her departure is why he didn’t want to be alone.
Whatever it is, Kate knows, because she lets him continue talking. He says some people are meant to be alone.
The moment Sawyer said that, I think he just fast-tracked himself to a happily ever after ending on-island. Whether this is with Kate remains to be seen, or if it means he will just finally be at peace with himself and not being in denial or torturing himself for things out of his control. He then says he was going to marry Juliet.
He throws the ring into the ocean, symbolic of ridding himself of this weight and then tells Kate she can make it back to the Temple by nightfall, and leaves. Kate stays and sobs, devastated.
Now, I know some are out there parading and cackling about how this is the end of Sawyer and Kate, but I believe it is just another stop along the road for them. They both have been alone all of their lives. They need some sense of happiness. Do you hear that Damon and Carlton? They need to be happy! They have been miserable their entire lives. Now it’s time for some karmic payback.
The entire scene at the dock was heart-breaking. From Sawyer’s crying to Kate’s crying to him admitting that Juliet was his replacement for Kate…it didn’t stop.
Time will tell if Damon and Carlton intend on making these two a couple once again, or happy for that matter. They did succeed in showing that Juliet was nothing more to Sawyer than Aaron was to Kate, and that he blamed himself and not Kate. This isn’t about Kate at all. It is about Sawyer’s issues.
And Kate, grown-up Kate, doesn’t fight it, and lets him leave, and she goes off, numb, either to find Claire or return to the Temple. Somehow I don’t think she is going to the Temple. We’ll see next week.
Like any Lost episode, whatever the flashback, flashfoward, flashsideways is about, there are both certain similarities and differences. In this Alternate Universe Flash, Kate is once again on the run, and unlike on-island, she isn’t really running towards anything or anyone (that we know of). Instead, she picks up Claire, feeling bad for abandoning her on the side of the road when she finds Claire’s bag is full of baby stuff, including the stuffed toy that Aaron would hold in the season four episode “Something Nice Back Home” when Mommy Kate was fighting with her soon to be ex-fiance , his Uncle Jack.
This Kate shows some differences. She is tougher, harder, almost…meaner? In any case, she softens enough to go with Claire to the hospital and stay with her during the crisis with Baby Unborn Aaron. She has someone she is fighting for, someone she is trying to help.
Claire, who is receptive and asking for help, which is in stark contrast to Sawyer on-island, who wants anything but help from Kate. Kate returns to being on the run after she helps Claire, similar to on-island Kate returning to aimlessly wander (that we know of) when she can’t bring Sawyer back.
Who knows what will happen when on-island Claire (with a crazy wig!) finds out that Kate took care of Aaron in those three years, while Claire was being consumed by “darkness” according to Dogen (maybe Smokey took her over?!) but I think it is safe to say that this version of Claire doesn’t look like she needs anyone’s help….and Kate, for the time being, will continue to run.
At least this time, she has grown, and is no longer running from things, but towards them.
Kudos to Josh and Evi for last night and this amazing scene they played perfectly, very happy to see some LOST love on Media, let's hope it's only the beginning !

hey mate long time but I have some cool scoop for ya you wanker ha! the trouble and strife took the dustbin lids away for the a week to see the ol' grannies and it gave me time to look for some lost filming info. and fuck me I found a shed load of info! post this whole message but dont let those crazy bastards know my name RIGHT!
here is the lowdown. that aussie bird claire is stuffed up with pillows or some shit to make here look very preggers and she is in the taxi with kate. A taxi pulls up with them both in to the hospital.
Then a nurse who looked pretty hot from where I was stalking them rushes out with a wheelchair to take fat claire into the hospital, I think she's about to drop. The funny thing was the first take the clumbsy nurse tripped over and they had to do another take. silly cow lol
kate then grabs clairs handbag which she left in the cab and goes into the hospital after them. they would not let me into the place the sly bastards.
I hung around a bit to see if they did some more and kate comes out and sits on the front of the car. I was too far away at this point to see if this was filming or jsut her having a sit down.
I had a chat with one doctor/actor dude who was eating a sandwich for lunch outside and it seemed that they were filming the delivery in there so she has the baby. this is the 3rd time we've seen her drop the sprog lol. must be knackerign for her!
They were going to shoot more but i was dying for a piss and the security guards kept looking at me strangly! no photos dark dude as my f$%$king iphone is bust up but i saw some small dude take some so he might send them unless the security guards took care of him
Since i said i'll not put spoilers out the spoiler tag, here a little BUT still interesting spoilers about sawyer and kate scene which can confuse even more spoilers addict lol i suppose it's for epi 6x03
Kate and Sawyer were doing a scene together at the end of the dock today at Kualoa Gardens. We watched them for a good 40 minutes, but we were too far away to hear anything. All I can tell you is, it was definitely present day and it was on the island. This is interesting since they supposedly landed in LAX safe and sound.
Before I unveil the title of Lost’s fourth episode, let’s do a quick recap of the first three…
6.01/6.02: “LA X”
6.03: “What Kate Does”
And now, the title of 6.04 (rumored to be Locke-centric) is…
“The Substitute”
What does it mean?! Let’s ask Doc Jensen:
“Well, a substitute is a replacement for something or someone that should be there, but isn’t. Apply that to the Lost story, which left us with a burning question: Did the castaways’ actions in the past — and specifically, Juliet’s detonation of the H-bomb Jughead — change all of Lost history? Maybe season 6 will reveal that the answer is… “Kinda.” Perhaps the history remains largely intact, but with some notable deviations. Perhaps “The Substitute,” then, refers to someone playing the part or fulfilling the role of someone or something that is now missing from the new, rebooted timeline. For example: Walt. Maybe in the new timeline, the castaways still all get on Oceanic 815 and crash on The Island… but among the deviations will be another “special kid” with a problematic relationship with his or her parent, taking the place of Walt. Hence, he or she would be the substitute for Walt. But I am also reminded of the intrigue around John Locke at the end of the season. Ben had killed him, and some Island entity took his place in the Island drama, using Locke’s role as a Trojan horse to get close to Jacob. If this “entity” = Locke’s “substitute,” maybe episode 4 will reveal more about this shape-shifter.”
Thanks, Doc! My thoughts exactly!
FYI: If it holds up that this season’s third and fourth episodes are Kate and Locke-focused respectively, doesn’t that follow the same sequence as the first season? Just something to think about.
update 09-20-09 : added new photo and more details about the set Update 09-19-09 : added fews photos of the set

The LOST cast and crew have been busy once again at Honolulu Intl Airport. If you have kept up to speed on the previous spoilers then you know this is the LAX (Los Angeles Intl airport set).
Thanks to several LOST fans and Roxy for the following tidbits of the ongoing filming.
Of course since filming us still occurring please keep checking back for updates, but this is what we know so far:
1) Apparently a taxi cab that appears to have been in an accident was spotted on set along with LAPD police cars and several officers as well. This was all spotted just outside the airport. Maybe all of the police is there to find Kate?
2) The scenes being filmed inside were at the Intl Arrivals where Jack is in a suit, a very pregnant Claire, Kate and Dr. Arzt were all spotted leaving the airport.
3) Kate and Claire share a cab and there is indeed a driver. So how we connect this tobthe previous filming of Kate driving the cab perhaps they shake the driver or the cab with a dent is connected??

thanks @twitter chris for the pictures and news infos Kate drives the taxi and Clair rides in the front seat... and Clair is pregnant.

doc posted more info about the actress ont he scene and little info too We checked with our sources and found out that Jenny isn't the name of the character, but the name of the actress playing her. Turns out Aaron's would-be adopted mother is being played by Actress Jenny Blong. If you are going nuts trying to figure out where you may have seen her, she had a brief role as Sookie and Jason's mother Michelle Stackhouse in season one of True Blood!
On a related note, we have confirmation that Elizabeth Mitchell is on Hawaii. Hey, Juliet is a doctor – right? Doesn't her specialty have something to do with babies, in one universe at least…
SPOILER ALERT: Breathless word comes from Carrie of a recent “LOST” shoot in Kahala. Less than a block from the home where Hurley hid in Season 5, she found her neighborhood once again packed with trailers and trucks before sunrise. Fortunately for us, she blew off her morning plans when she spotted cameras being set up on the lawn of a home a few doors down.
The scene was brief, but dramatic… and may further complicate already complicated theories forming after recent filming reports suggesting the safe arrival of Oceanic Flight 815 in Los Angeles.
A yellow taxi cab pulls up in front of the house, and two women emerge. It’s a “very pregnant” Claire (Emilie De Ravin) accompanied by, inexplicably, Kate (Evangeline Lilly). They walk up and Claire knocks on the door, and an unfamiliar woman (the crew called her by the name Jenny) answers. Claire introduces herself… and the woman immediately breaks down, crying.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she says. “I really wanted this. But my husband… I just can’t have the baby right now.”
There’s anguish. And awkwardness. They’re not invited inside. But after a few more words are exchanged, it’s Claire’s turn to cry out. She cringes, and bends over, apparently and suddenly going into labor.
“Call a doctor!” Kate urges.
How do Claire and Kate, previously strangers on a plane, connect in L.A.? Wouldn’t Kate still be on the run? And what happened to the couple that was supposed to adopt Claire’s baby? Season six can’t get here soon enough.
My opinion : wow very amazing spoilers don't you think ? i guess the doctor could be juliet with NO MEMORY, maybe sawyer could be here too and sees her alive and she could ask if he's the father, what a drama it could be ! let's hope we'll get more details soon :)
Update 09-18-09 :title for this episode "What Kate does" thanksdarkufo blog
Update : Seem ausiello made mistake last night, it's finally episode 6x03 *****
Hi guys, I wake up to read ausiello confirmed epi 6x06 will be kate's centric ! Question: Lost scoop?! —Jarrod Ausiello: Grab your season 6 scorecards and in the box next to episode 6 write, “Kate-centric."
***** My opinion : ok what does it mean ? why we know for epi 6x06 before all centrics ? Let's me remind you the past years and darlton"s choice. If darlton said it to ausiello and not about epi 6x01,6x02,6x03,6x04 or even 6x05 you can bet this episode will be a BIG episode for kate ! Maybe related to Claire and Aaron, Maybe related to kate's love life (a little resolution in the air ?) who can know yet ! but think of the way promotion started on the past and WHICH episodes darlton wanted us to know at first and you'll see WHY i think it :)
