Lost has been one of the highest-rated TV dramas since making its debut, in 2004, with a U.S. viewing audience that has ranged from 11 million to 23 million and a greater combined number of viewers tuning in from an estimated 160 countries around the world, but with its crazy sci-fi philosophy, head-scratching supernatural elements, and impossible-to-track plotlines, it's really a cult show at heart. Die-hard fans have learned the secret handshake, while casual viewers look in from time to time and pose questions like “Wait, did that guy just turn into smoke?”

The show belongs to Damon Lindelof more than anyone else. He is the only Lost co-creator who has had a major say in every episode from the J. J. Abrams—directed pilot onward. But even though he's the man more or less in charge of this wild beast, Lindelof suffers the same anxieties experienced by Lost devotees, who wonder, as the finale approaches, how it's all going to come out.

This is understandable, when you consider that Lindelof is the one who must bring closure to a series that started off simply enough, like a fictional Survivor, only to morph into a hairy show that has made room for time travel, an alternate universe, and more romantic entanglements than you'll find on a Telemundo soap opera.

Lindelof says he dreams about Lost all the time: “The most common dream is we have produced an episode that is catastrophically bad, and we have got to figure out a way to fix it. There's a whole series of things that are very confusing to me, and I'm like, ‘Why did we even do this?’ There have also been dreams where I'm interacting with the actors, and there's a blurring of the line as to whether or not we're in the show.”

The Vilcek Foundation Celebrates LOST

THE VILCEK FOUNDATION CELEBRATES LOST: A SHOWCASE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS AND FILMMAKERS OF ABC'S HIT SHOW

Just in time for the finale, fans in NYC will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the mystical, time-traveling island of LOST.

The exhibit, spotlighting international talent from both in front of and behind the camera, will feature original portraits taken on the set of LOST, as well as biographical profiles of immigrant and first-generation members of the cast and crew.

The portraits will be set against a collection of iconic props from the award-winning series. Read James Ford’s childhood letter to Sawyer; check the expiration dates on some Dharma food; and take the Dharma VW Bus for a spin.*

*Just kidding.

The profiled individuals hail from all over the world, such as South Africa, the Netherlands and Brazil, as well as work across a wide range of departments - from acting and costume design, to editing and lighting.

Participants include cast and crewmembers such as Carlton Cuse (Executive Producer), Jorge Garcia ("Hurley"), Melinda Hsu Taylor (Writer), John Bartley (Cinematographer), Yunjin Kim ("Sun"), Nestor Carbonell ("Richard Alpert") and many others.

The exhibition is presented in collaboration with the ABC Television Network and will feature original photos by Peter Hurley.

Yunjin Kim's wedding in Hawaii !

What a sudden announcement: Kim Yun-jin, the 36-year-old actress of U.S. television series Lost and Korean films Harmony and Shiri, will marry on March 28 in Hawaii. The actress released the news with little advance notice, via press release on the afternoon of the 28th (Korean time).

The groom, Mr. Park, is identified as a film producer who is the same age as Kim. She has been in a relationship with Park since 2007 after first meeting in 2002, when he was her manager. They began dating while she wrote her book, The World is Your Drama. Kim described her groom as “a very humorous and considerate person.”

The ceremony will be held on a private beach and attended by a small group of family and friends. Kim is currently filming the sixth season of Lost in Hawaii, so the couple will wait for shooting to end to embark on their honeymoon.

Newsflash: Lost’s Sun is doing hard time for killing her baby’s father! Calm down. This isn’t Sun’s flash sideways scenario. Jin’s not getting whacked and Sun’s not being thrown in the same polar bear cages where Sawyer and Kate rotted a few seasons back. Rather, Sun’s portrayer, Yunjin Kim, spent her summer hiatus in Korea shooting a movie, "Harmony," playing a pregnant felon who delivers her baby behind bars.

Once in the big house, “my character starts a singing group,” says Kim, who admits to being “a terrible singer.”

Yunjin just laughs when asked if she received singing tips from her TV hubby Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), who spent the previous hiatus performing in the musical, "The King and I."

Though fans can look forward to the two actors appearing alongside each other in the season’s tenth episode, which focuses on Sun and Jin’s off-island life, the characters will once again remain separated on the island for most of the year. “I’m surprised by that. I did think we’d be reunited by now,” says Yunjin. “If they waited this long, maybe we’ll come together in the finale.”

But Yunjin fears either Sun or Jin will not live to see the end. “I’m all for happy endings, but on this show I think it would be boring to just see Sun and Jin go back to Korea,” she says. “I have a feeling one of us will die to make it dramatic.”

She just hopes it’s not her. “You can’t ever cancel out the possibility of 'Lost: The Movie,'” she says. “So I’d like to stay alive, just in case.”

Paradise Lost, tv guide interview with Josh Holloway

He’s been shot, repeatedly beaten to bloody hell, circled by a hungry shark, chased by a Smoke Monster, electrocuted and locked in a polar-bear cage with only decades-old fish biscuits for sustenance. But James “Sawyer” Ford’s greatest adversary has long been Josh Holloway, who decreed early on that his wily hillbilly deserved to die as karmic penance for years spent conning the innocent.

But with just four months left of filming on the final season of Lost, the 40-year-old actor has had a change of heart. He’s lobbying for a stay of execution. “After six years, I love this character—he’s a living, breathing part of me,” says Holloway. “And I think he deserves a second chance to rectify some things he’s done. It would be a shame if he were not given that opportunity. I’d feel cheated.”

This newfound compassion sprang to life sometime between the shooting of last season’s explosive finale, in which Sawyer failed to save his sweetheart, Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell), and the first few episodes of the coming season, which finds Sawyer wrestling with deep guilt.

Still, whatever fate the island gods (aka exec producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) bestow on Sawyer, come May 2010, Holloway will be ready to slip out of those soiled denims, cut off that long hair and move back to Los Angeles to pursue film roles. “By then, Sawyer’s story will have been told,” says Holloway. “My journey has been full.”

Strolling past a beach not far from his home in Oahu, Holloway says he’s not alone in his feelings of satisfaction and gratitude. With the groundbreaking series’ end nearing, he’s noticed the cast rediscovering a profound appreciation for the show and one another. “It’s just been a pleasure on set this year,” he says. “When we see each other, there’s this joy that’s lovely.”

“It feels like high school’s going to end, and we’re getting wistful,” agrees costar Terry O’Quinn (Locke). “There’s a sweetness to these days.”

“Everyone has a sense of last moments,” echoes Michael Emerson (Ben). “Maybe this will be the last scene we shoot at this old location…or maybe this is the last time I’ll talk to this particular character.”

But it hasn’t always been like this. Holloway concedes that as the seasons wore on, dips in camaraderie could be seen as actors buried their heads in both iPhones and feature-film scripts. Now there’s “silly conversations” with Emerson, Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Ken Leung (Miles), impromptu jazz sessions with O’Quinn, Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) and Naveen Andrews (Sayid). And Yunjin Kim (Sun) says she, Jeff Fahey (Lapidus) and Leung have even taken Pilates classes together, “as an excuse to hang out off set.”

“There is an energy here now that is reminiscent of the first year, which was so magical,” says Holloway.

Back then, Holloway never could’ve envisioned the bizarre turns the trippy series would take, including time travel, conversations with the undead and the discovery of an ominous giant four-toed statue. Yet he acknowledges the roller-coaster plot brought out some of Sawyer’s finest moments. His favorite: when Sawyer and Kate (Evangeline Lilly) were imprisoned face-to-face in the Others’ cages in Season 3. His least: Sawyer’s recurring con of sleeping with women, taking their cash and skipping town. “It didn’t feel real, and I always felt stupid doing it,” he says.

More recently, he objected to his character’s content life with Juliet, which turned Sawyer into somewhat of a softie. “I rejected it when I first got the scripts. I was like, ‘C’mon, he’s a nice guy now? Head of security? What bulls--t.’ It was scary for me. I didn’t want to lose his edge.”

Holloway needn’t worry. Come February, he—and fans—can expect a reemergence of the sorely missed badass Sawyer. But not before tying up the Juliet story line. Mitchell, who’s moved on to star in V, recently returned to Hawaii to shoot some top-secret scenes.

“It was pretty poignant and important to the setup of things people will discover later on,” says Holloway. “We had this amazing experience, and then she was gone again.”

Similar reunions were recently enjoyed with other long-gone costars. Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) have all returned to film a few scenes. And Emilie de Ravin’s Claire will be back full-time this season.

But the reunion many fans are dying to see is Sawyer and Kate. In last season’s ender, the two shared a longing glance, witnessed by an intuitive (and heartbroken) Juliet, who realized there’s still major chemistry brewing. Still, in the aftermath of Juliet’s demise, Holloway says Sawyer’s agony makes it “not possible for him to be with Kate. Right now, he doesn’t give a f--- about life…or anyone in it. He’s destroyed inside. There’s an undeniable love for Kate, but everything inside of him is fighting not to go there.”

Holloway’s not even sure he could swallow a happily-ever-after conclusion for Sawyer and Kate, whom he describes as two lone wolves—passing ships in the night. “I think she would have a happier life with Jack,” he admits. “More so than with Sawyer.” Kim, whose Sun remains separated from husband Jin this season, disagrees: “I think Kate’s suited for Sawyer.”

At this point, Holloway can guarantee only one happy ending: his own. “It’s been an honor and a pleasure to take this journey with this group of people and with this caliber of writing,” he says. “It’s priceless what it’s done for me as an artist and a human being. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

set of the airport and i think the girl said it could serve later too, maybe it was an little hint of well you know what i mean then it was lambpost set, my god what they built, it was just wow, yunjin said she got issue to say her line 'cause she was fascinated of the place she joked too about the fact camera moved in many ways during the crash of the plane and they needed to stay fix and not move with the camera and not laugh too. Very amazing set of the Lamp post, the crew worked very well IMO.
