"Lost" stars past and present Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn and Harold Perrineau are all confirmed to appear live on ABC's special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" post-"Lost" finale episode on Sunday, May 23 at 12:05 a.m.

Also making "special appearances" (we assume not in the studio) are Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly. The special -- “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE: ALOHA TO LOST”-- will also include "an exclusive look at THREE ALTERNATIVE FINAL SCENES from the minds of executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse."

Lindelof and Cuse have previously promised to go into hiding after the "Lost" finale airing, and won't be live in studio.

According to ABC, "'Jimmy Kimmel Live' has been deluged by more studio audience ticket requests for this special than any show in its 7 plus year history."

Lost has been one of the highest-rated TV dramas since making its debut, in 2004, with a U.S. viewing audience that has ranged from 11 million to 23 million and a greater combined number of viewers tuning in from an estimated 160 countries around the world, but with its crazy sci-fi philosophy, head-scratching supernatural elements, and impossible-to-track plotlines, it's really a cult show at heart. Die-hard fans have learned the secret handshake, while casual viewers look in from time to time and pose questions like “Wait, did that guy just turn into smoke?”

The show belongs to Damon Lindelof more than anyone else. He is the only Lost co-creator who has had a major say in every episode from the J. J. Abrams—directed pilot onward. But even though he's the man more or less in charge of this wild beast, Lindelof suffers the same anxieties experienced by Lost devotees, who wonder, as the finale approaches, how it's all going to come out.

This is understandable, when you consider that Lindelof is the one who must bring closure to a series that started off simply enough, like a fictional Survivor, only to morph into a hairy show that has made room for time travel, an alternate universe, and more romantic entanglements than you'll find on a Telemundo soap opera.

Lindelof says he dreams about Lost all the time: “The most common dream is we have produced an episode that is catastrophically bad, and we have got to figure out a way to fix it. There's a whole series of things that are very confusing to me, and I'm like, ‘Why did we even do this?’ There have also been dreams where I'm interacting with the actors, and there's a blurring of the line as to whether or not we're in the show.”

PLAYBOY: With Lost coming to an end, many people would love to get the scoop on the finale and what the six years of the series have been building toward. There have been hints that you are among the select few who know how the show will end. What’s true?

FOX: I know a little bit about what the end’s going to be like. I went to the show’s creators to ask what I should be working toward with my character. They gave me an image of how my character would end up.

PLAYBOY: Are you going to share that image with us?

FOX: No, man. But it’s pretty awesome. [laughs]

PLAYBOY: Lots of fans are debating whether Evangeline Lilly’s character Kate will end up with you or with Josh Holloway’s bad-boy character Sawyer—assuming any or all of you survive. Do you ever regret not being cast as Sawyer when you auditioned?

FOX: I don’t think they were ever seriously considering me for Sawyer. They were just using a Sawyer scene to audition guys they were interested in. The minute I did that Sawyer audition, though, they were like, “We think you’re Jack Shephard.” I said, “Great, but I don’t have any fucking idea who Jack Shephard is because nobody’s read the script.”

PLAYBOY: Did they let you read it?

FOX: J.J. Abrams said, “You want to read the script right now?” I did, but he proceeded to butt in every fucking 20 minutes with, “What do you think? What do you think?” Finally, I’m like, “Fucking great. Let me finish it.”

PLAYBOY: Apparently you liked what you read.

FOX: The minute I read it and saw that the show started on Shephard’s eye opening, I realized they were essentially talking to me about playing the guy. And I was like, “Well, okay.”

PLAYBOY: Lost has had more strong seasons than not, but many people still hotly debate season three, which was almost a sidebar miniseries featuring you, Lilly and Holloway held captive. It was mostly Lilly and Holloway trapped in zoo cages.

FOX: It became a show everybody talked and wrote about. People who never would have been fans, who weren’t watching the show from the beginning, started watching because of the reviews, the press attention and the ratings. They didn’t know what the show was about, didn’t know the characters or anything, but they were criticizing it, saying it wasn’t as good as seasons one and two. Season six is the last one, so with all the publicity, of course the ratings will be huge, especially for the final episode.

Lost actors nominated at Monte Carlo Festival 2010

what i love to see it because i think we can expect fews of them there to promote LOST season6 in france and there is HIGH chance i'll go too :)

The nominations regarding comedy and dramatic TV series have been announced for the 2010 Monte-Carlo Television Festival. As always, Canada and the USA are both part of the competion. Furthermore, the festival will be held from June 6 to 10.

American dramatic TV series:

Speaking about American dramatic TV series, Dexter, Lost, Mad Men and Spartacus: Blood and Sand will try to make Uncle Sam's voice heard.

In the category of best actor(s), Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow will represent Dexter and Jon Hamm, Mad Men. Andy Whitfield and John Hannah will compete for Spartacus: Blood and Sand. As for the men of Lost, there will be Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Jeff Fahey, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Leung and Terry O'Quinn.

For the ladies, the nominees will be: Julie Benz and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter); Emilie de Ravin, Yunjin Kim, Evangeline Lilly and Zuleikha Robinson (Lost); January Jones and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men); and finally Lucy Lawless (Spartacus: Blood and Sand).
