"Lost" stars past and present Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn and Harold Perrineau are all confirmed to appear live on ABC's special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" post-"Lost" finale episode on Sunday, May 23 at 12:05 a.m.

Also making "special appearances" (we assume not in the studio) are Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly. The special -- “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE: ALOHA TO LOST”-- will also include "an exclusive look at THREE ALTERNATIVE FINAL SCENES from the minds of executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse."

Lindelof and Cuse have previously promised to go into hiding after the "Lost" finale airing, and won't be live in studio.

According to ABC, "'Jimmy Kimmel Live' has been deluged by more studio audience ticket requests for this special than any show in its 7 plus year history."

A Michael/Walt Reunion on Lost?

Though father and son have not yet reunited on the Lost island, Harold Perrineau tells TV Guide Magazine he hopes that bringing Michael and Walt together is still in the cards. “They’d never [tell me], but that would be really, really amazing – to see Michael and Walt together again,” he said at the Make-A-Wish Foundation Day in Santa Monica on March 14.

Now that Walt’s reappearance seems imminent, despite the fact that the then 12-year-old Malcolm David Kelley will soon turn 18, Perrineau says he always felt like bringing his on-screen son back was an important piece of the puzzle. “I think you have to answer those questions with Walt. He was too important in the very beginning,” he says, adding that Kelly’s growth shouldn’t be too much of an issue. “Listen, they’re flashing forwards and sideways, and the least of their problems is Malcolm looking bigger. If they can explain all that, I’m sure making him look bigger is not a problem.”

Perrineau, who has been back to Oahu once, so far, told us about his return to set. “It was really fantastic, and I had a really good time. I was fortunate enough to be there for a sunset on a beach, so that was a lot of fun.” He even jokes about the possibility of all the dead characters reuniting before season’s end. “I imagine, it’s like, ‘Oh, you’re dead too? Come on, let’s go talk to Hurley!’”

While Perrineau waits for word on his return to Hawaii, the father of two is coaching his former co-star Josh Holloway on handling an even bigger mystery than Lost – his new baby daughter. “We’re in constant contact with them about breast feeding and all this stuff. It’s not glamorous but you gotta do it,” he says, offering some practical advice: “Take it easy, step back. They’re girls – you’ll never understand them. Just do what you gotta do, and that’s it.”

Why Harold's Back on Lost

News that Harold Perrineau will be returning to Lost late in the show’s upcoming final season came as a shocker to many who recalled the actor’s public criticism of the 2008 decision to kill off his character, Michael, and have Michael’s son, Walt, raised by his grandmother (something he felt could be perceived as a “ghetto stereotype”). But speaking publicly for the first time since the announcement, Harold says, “I was always open to returning because there was stuff I thought was unresolved. I’m hoping we can put Michael to rest in a way we haven’t done so far.”

When he returns to the Hawaii set at month’s end, Harold’s anticipating some time in the makeup chair to make him look like Michael, since he’s on loan from the upcoming movie “The Hungry Rabbit Jumps,” in which he plays the principal of a school where Nick Cage is a teacher. “I now have a mustache and short-cropped hair,” Harold says from the New Orleans set. The actor’s deal was finalized just one day before Lost’s executive producers announced that he’d be back, along with Cynthia Watros, whose character, Libby, was shot to death by Harold’s character in 2006. “There are two big hopes I have for Michael,” says Harold. “One is I hope he gets to apologize to his son.” (Unlikely, says exec producer Carlton Cuse, explaining it’s tricky to bring back Malcolm David Kelley, now 17, because “he looks much older than his character. But we’re still seeing if there’s a way to work that out.”)

Harold’s second hope: “That I get to apologize to Libby, since her death was really an accident.” (Oops!) Coincidentally, Harold’s other upcoming film, “30 Days of Night: Dark Days,” casts him as a vampire slayer alongside Kiele Sanchez, who had a brief run on Lost, as Nikki, before her character (along with Rodrigo Santoro’s Paulo) was buried alive in 2007. “I wish she’d been part of our first season, because she’s so much fun,” raves Harold, who was off Lost during Kiele’s run. “When we first met, we literally hugged like we were long-lost brother and sister. I remember her telling me she was so excited to be in Hawaii when she joined Lost, but then people kept telling her tales of what she shouldn’t do on set, and she panicked. And then they killed her.”

Harold Perrineau interview with Kristin about Michael

You gotta love a man who likes to clear the air.

Harold Perrineau just rang up to kindly reveal an answer to our blind item—"Guess Who's Not Returning to Lost?"—which outed a former Lost star as a holdout to return for the final season.

It's not him.

Despite everyone and their mother's brother's lover (even the Los Angeles Times!) assuming Harold (Michael) was the Lost holdout, Harold reveals that he has not turned down an offer to return to the show.

So does that mean he's coming back?

"Honestly, no one has asked," Harold tells me. "But if I was asked to come back to Lost, indeed I would say yes. We all started that journey together, and I would love to be able to end it with everybody. It would be a great thing to do, to get to say goodbye to them all at the same time. I would love to go back and hang out a little bit."

Now, assuming that Lost is resetting the clock as rumored and going back in time to the original Flight 815, it would seem that there may be a serious glitch to bringing Perrineau back: Walt. After all, Malcolm David Kelley, who was a wee 13-year-old when the series started, now looks like he could be playing defense for the Lakers or voicing a Barry White biopic.

"That's what I was actually thinking would probably be the trickiest part," Perrineau says. "I mean, I know they've been going back and forth with time travel, but if we were to go all the way back, how do you do that? You'd have to recast [Walt]. Or do some crazy CGI, like Little Man. That would be weird!"

Despite the hullabaloo over the comments he made after Michael was killed off Lost, Harold tells me he honestly has no beef with the show. "Those people are my family. And not like my twisted, dysfunctional family, but people I totally love, you know what I mean? It was a great show for me and I'm really glad to be part of that."

"There are no hard feelings," Harold adds. "Period. That's the real truth."

Harold called in from Vancouver where he's currently shooting the sequel to 30 Days of Night: Darker Days—yay, vampires!—and is also working on an album "just for fun."

Personally, I would love to see Michael/Harold again before Lost's final credits roll—with or without Walt.

Two LOST actors reunite for a movie !

By now you probably know that season 6 of LOST may potentially bring back many, if not all, of the original cast members. We don't know how, we don't know why, and we don't know for how long, and we don't want to know until they lay it on us, but the LOST producers have dropped heavy hints we will be seeing some old favorites once again. Two erstwhile LOST cast-members will be reuniting off the island, in the big screen sequel to 30 Days of Nights.

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Harold Perrineau (Who last battled zombies in 28 weeks later) and former LOST co-star Kiele Sanchez (of Paolo and Nikki fame) are amongst those already cast for 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, which creates a new thread in Steve Niles original graphic novel skein. The plot concerns Stella, played in 30 Days of Night by Melissa George who has NOT yet committed to the sequel, bent on getting revenge on the vampire behind the attacks that left her husband along with most of the other residents of an isolated Alaskan town dead.

A possibly related angle is that E!Online's 'Watch With Kristin' is reporting that a particular LOST actor declined the opportunity to return in season 6. Could it be that they had 'bigger and better' things on their plate?

Will Harold Perrineau Return to Lost?

Rumors are swirling that just about every past Lost cast member may be journeying back to the island – where death apparently isn’t always the end – as the series heads into its final season. But Harold Perrineau’s not packing his bags for Hawaii just yet.

“I can only deny,” original cast member Perrineau told TV Guide Magazine about a possible return engagement as the seemingly deceased Michael Dawson – though a resurrection may be just a phone call away.

“Nobody’s said anything to me and I haven’t asked,” said Perrineau. “One of the great things I always thought about Lost is I back up and I let them do the thing that they’re really great at doing. They’re really great and creating drama and creating their show. And this way I don’t have to ask ‘Hey, what’s this? What’s that?’ I don’t ask any questions, I just show up and I let them do what they do. They’re good at it.”

That said, if the producers ring him up, Perrineau’s on the first flight to Oahu. “Of course I would show up! Are you kidding me? That’s my people!” He said he wasn’t sure if Michael could return organically back into the mythology, however. “Only if there’s some way that they’re getting back to all of those original characters that we started the journey with, and if that’s so then that makes sense to me. I don’t know other than that how it makes sense.”

“But then nothing makes sense on the show, so why am I even saying this?” he laughed.

Whatever happens, Perrineau is just as eager as any longtime viewer to find out the answers to the many mysteries Lost has posed over the years. “I still have questions – a ton of questions,” he explained. “I’m curious about how all that’s going to wrap up. There are just tons of things from when we first started that I’m still curious about.”

Lost Alum to See More Killing in Captivity

Lost alum Harold Perrineau is far from the perils of the island these days. Yet, landlocked life may not be much safer. The actor will play a captive once again in the new thriller Killing Jar.

The movie, which began shooting over the weekend, centers on an armed man who takes seven people hostage at a roadside diner. Through the bloodshed, the group discovers that one of them might be more dangerous than their captor. Perrineau, who's also exec producing the film, is playing a traveling salesman, says the Reporter.

While the actor is perhaps best known for his turn as Michael on Lost, he's also no newcomer to film, with credits including 28 Days Later and Romeo + Juliet. — Anna Dimond

Michael is dead, harold's interview

Lost's breathtaking finale will no doubt have fans feverishly dissecting its innumerable puzzles until the show returns in early 2009. (Read our recap and weigh in with your thoughts!) Locke (aka Jeremy Bentham) is in the coffin?! What "very bad things" happened after the Oceanic 6 left the island?? How in Jacob's name is Ben gonna help all of them — plus Locke! — get back there??? And exactly where did the former Others ringleader and that wacky frozen device move the island to?

But at least one major character's fate was definitively sealed with the close of Season 4 when Michael (Harold Perrineau), the suicidal castaway — and father to "real big" mystery boy Walt — perished aboard the fiery freighter. "Michael had an incredibly heroic, noble death," says executive producer Damon Lindelof. "He sacrificed his own life to redeem himself for past mistakes and to help the Oceanic 6 get off the island." Sound familiar? It was this time last year that we were mourning the loss of the similarly selfless Charlie. Though Michael got a little something special that the ex-junkie rock star did not: a surprise send-off from Christian Shephard.

Shortly after he wrapped filming, an emotional Perrineau — who made a much-hyped return to the series in March after leaving in Season 2 — called to chat about his explosive second exit, the mad dash home to be with pregnant wife Brittany and why he feels the lack of a Michael-Walt reunion was "not cool."

TV Guide: Did you know Michael was being killed off when you returned?
Harold Perrineau: I had no idea. It's like, what the hell? I came back for that?

TV Guide: You're laughing as you say that, but you don't sound particularly pleased.
Perrineau: I'm disappointed, mostly because I wanted Michael and Walt to have a happy ending. I was hoping Michael would get it together and actually want to be a father to his kid and try to figure out a way to get back [home]. But this is [the producers'] story. If I were writing it, I would write it differently.

TV Guide:: So when did you get the news?
Perrineau: [Lindelof and fellow executive producer Carlton Cuse] called before the finale scripts were out. They said they weren't going to continue with Michael.

TV Guide:: And what did you say to that?
Perrineau: At this point, I've been on the island, off the island, back on the island — so I just went, "Oh, ok." [Laughs] This is their show and they know what they can or cannot write. I thought it was disappointing and a waste to come back, only to get beat up a few times and then killed. I felt like it was sort of pandering to some fans who wanted to see Michael punished because he betrayed people.

TV Guide: Are you referring to when he shot and killed Ana Lucia and Libby in Season 2?
Perrineau: Exactly. I honestly feel like Michael's death served a really weird bloodlust for the fans.

TV Guide: Were you disappointed Michael and Walt didn't reconnect before your character died?
Perrineau: Listen, if I'm being really candid, there are all these questions about how they respond to black people on the show. Sayid gets to meet Nadia again, and Desmond and Penny hook up again, but a little black boy and his father hooking up, that wasn't interesting? Instead, Walt just winds up being another fatherless child. It plays into a really big, weird stereotype and, being a black person myself, that wasn't so interesting. [Responds Cuse: "We pride ourselves on having a very racially diverse cast. It's painful when any actor's storyline ends on the show. Harold is a fantastic actor whose presence added enormously to Lost."]

TV Guide: Take me back to your last day of shooting.
Perrineau: My last day was kind of hectic. [Production] was trying to get me out because, at the time, my wife was a centimeter dilated.

TV Guide: Was she in labor at the hospital when you got back to L.A.?
Perrineau: No, I got home and then for another week, the baby would not come! We were like, "Seriously, dude, I was in Hawaii rushing like a madman!” I was talking to the baby, my wife was walking around, practically hiking, but the baby just would not come out! [Laughs] So we went to the hospital a week later and induced. A beautiful little girl came on May 7. Wynter Aria — I thought it was a nice name. It's poetic, and she's a little poetry in our life.

TV Guide: Let's talk highlights. Surely, you had some positive experiences on Lost.
Perrineau: Doing the job in Hawaii was cool. Getting to meet and work with [co-creator] JJ Abrams was very cool. The day we found out the show [premiered] so well [in 2004] was an amazing day. We were all so hopeful and excited. The first season was one of my best years as a working actor. Not to say there weren't tough times, but I loved the first season. And that one of my best friends, Dan [Dae Kim, who plays Jin], and I got to do pretty much the whole finale together.

TV Guide: Dead characters have a way of returning to the show. Would you be open to that?
Perrineau: I'd love to go back and work with people I really like working with, but I would have to know what was happening [story-wise] before I showed up again. Because this [last] storyline, I full-on feel, "No, that's not cool.'"

TV Guide: What's next for you?
Perrineau: This movie I did with Stephen Dorff called Felon is probably coming out at the end of the summer. And I'm in talks for a couple different films.

TV Guide: Any final thoughts?
Perrineau: Just that I hope the show continues to thrill people. I'm sorry to have to go, but I'll see you in another incarnation. I'll re-create myself because that's what I do. That part of leaving is pretty cool.

The Lost Cast Talks About How Life Has Changed

Lost, ABC’s phenomenal mind-boggling adventure series returns to the primetime schedule, Thursday, January 31. Although the producers promise they will answer some questions, you can bet they will also leave viewers with brand new puzzle pieces to ponder.

The last time I personally saw the cast of Lost was last year as they were in Pasadena, on hiatus from their Hawaiian location filming. It felt like I was in the middle of the Dharma Project, which is at the center of the show’s mysteries. Jack (Matthew Fox) and Kate (Evangeline Lilly), plus Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) were taking a stroll around the Ritz-Carlton Hotel before an ABC promotional event. Hurley (Jorge Garcia) was going out for a drive with friends. The Korean couple, Jin and Sun (Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim), were also there making new friends. And everybody’s favorite bad boy Sawyer (Josh Holloway) was relaxing poolside, soaking up the sun.

It was as if the survivors of Oceanic Air flight 815 had been rescued and their lives were back to normal. Not a chance!

Jorge Garcia explained that their lives haven’t been “normal” since the series debuted. “I still haven’t gotten comfortable with the attention, but I appreciate that the fans care about my character,” Garcia said. He added that one of the most difficult aspects about being part of the production is keeping up with all the different storylines involving different cast members on the island. “Sometimes it feels like there are two different shows going on, or more, as the storylines take strange turns.”

Yunjin Kim has arguably been the most surprising character to emerge from all the plot twists. And she admitted that she loves the way the show has personally changed her life.

“It seems it changed overnight. Wow! I have a recognizable face walking down the street,” Kim beamed. “I worked out in Korea for about four or five years before coming out to do Lost. I was very lucky, getting great roles and great movies (in Korea). I became a recognizable face there, but this is different. This is world wide. Lost is being shown in more than 200 countries.”

Besides “instant” fame, what she loves most about the show is that “it asks all the questions that we ask as human beings-- the humanities, why are we here? Who are we? There’s got to be a reason. And I feel like there are deeper issues, such as creating a society with a bunch of strangers, something that not too many TV series deal with. Then there’s the specter of the monster…the polar bear…the jungle. It has everything to make us think.”
Daniel Dae Kim added, “All of us on the show are really proud of being part of something so special.”

Although Josh Holloway is excellent playing the cool con man, whose sinister dark side has been explored in intriguing flashbacks, he is very different from his Sawyer character in real life.

“Okay, I’m supposed to be a bit of a cad, but that’s not me, believe me,” Holloway insisted. “Sometimes I wake up and stare at my wife and think of how lucky I am. But that’s not the kind of stuff that people write about.”

Josh is really a nice guy who grew up in Georgia, then headed to Los Angeles to give acting a try. He appeared in some TV roles and independent films, but admitted, “There were many times I’d think about getting my real estate license and giving up the acting business.”

Now he’s thrilled to be living in Hawaii with his wife, and his boat. “My big thing now is spending time on my boat, heading out until I can’t see land anymore.”

He claims to be a pretty good sailor, so he’s not afraid of getting lost. Besides, being an integral part of the hit TV show, he’s sure someone would send out a search part to find him if he did really get lost.
