Kristin spoilers

little hint about the death coming....

Delia in Vancouver: Stop abusing the Lost death. It's like you're dancing on the person's grave.

OK, we'll shut up about it then. But for the record, no disrespect was intended. We have adored the Lost actor in question for a long time, and we're superbummed that he/she is getting the hook.

Kristin and Ausiello spoilers

sorry i'm in late ^^"

WHAT'S TO COME

We have to wait two weeks for a new episode. Argh! Doubleplusungood.

Howevah, they are going to make it up to us "The Variable," about which we are hearing very good things. Look for Mrs. Hawking explain stuff like her relationship with Charles Widmore and for Daniel to explain some of the mysteries of the Island (please review chapters 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 in your psychics physics textbook in preparation).

And oh yeah, the major death is bearing down on us. Next week, some people we used to trust implicitly make some (more) very bad decisions and in the end, it's curtains for someone we love. Darn you, Lost! Darn you to heck!
What did you think of

********
Question: Was the majorish death you were referring to on Lost that of Caesar in Episode 12? -- Ian
Ausiello: Nah. He's not big enough to garner an –ish, IMHO.

who is gonna die ? tv guide speculation

Wednesday's episode of Lost (9 pm/ET, ABC) is titled "Dead Is Dead." It purports to tell the story of Ben's atonement for his many sins, but it brings to mind that pesky rumor we keep hearing: Two main characters will die before the end of the season. And not Frogurt-caliber characters — people you actually care about. Putting aside for a second the fact that dying on Lost doesn't exactly mean a trip to the unemployment office, let's examine a few likely suspects, and then tell us who you think is going to take that long island dirt nap.

Eonline spoilers about the death !

Melanie in Auckland, New Zealand: Lost scoop, please, hopefully about which character is dying.
We hit a Lost writers event last week at the Writers Guild Foundation in Beverly Hills, and when asked about character deaths, awesome Lost exec producer Eddy Kitsis told the audience, "We arc out characters, so we know who will die and when they die. I will say when it comes to those episodes, sometimes it's very hard to let go, and you'll start saying [in the writers' room], 'I know we planned all season for Charlie to die, but…what if he didn't? Maybe Charlie lives.' And that's how we know how it's good—because if we're having this emotional reaction over losing these characters, hopefully you will, too." For the record, we will have a Charlie's-death-level emotional reaction to the character death at the end of season—there will be wailing, rending of garments and general grief. The writers probably had plenty of doubts about whether or not it was really a good idea to kill this particular character.

Marcus in Pittsburgh: Can we get one decent clue about the Lost death?
Charlie Pace and the major character that dies this season are polar opposites in at least one key physical attribute.

ew spoilers

Question: Is Elizabeth Mitchell leaving Lost? It will break my heart if she does. --Cristiane
Ausiello: I address the murky Mitchell situation in this week's EW (on sale Friday), but this much I can tell you now: Juliet will definitely appear on Lost next season.

Question: Please give us a hint about the big death in the Lost finale. Bill
Ausiello: Just this one: That's not what people will be talking about the next morning. Trust me.

Major death update

Don in Dallas: Kristin, are they killing off Sawyer on Lost?
Yes, they're killing Sawyer off Lost. Other season finale deaths to expect this year: A depressed McDreamy commits surgical hara-kiri with a scalpel on Grey's Anatomy, Blair uses thallium poison to kill Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl, and Jon Stewart is being written out of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. (Sorry for the bad joke.) To my own personal knowledge, Josh Holloway is not going anywhere (swear). However, it is possible there is a death I don't know about..
