D-26 : Desmond chose charlie's fate !

first i'll say wet dezy for me ^^ and second, this scene is crucial for the end 'cause we don't know really if it could have been Penny if Desmond didn't saved Charlie here. I think at this moment, when Desmond chose to save Charlie instead of let's him die changed what happened but also it was necessary at the end Charlie chose his fate and not Desmond, i don't want to make you cry and rewatch Charlie's death (neither me !!) but i think this scene was very interesting in "catch22" you can give me your opinion too

Lost Star Joins New ABC Drama, Yet Questions Remain

Dominic Monaghan's foosball-playing cameo in that ABC fall promo now seems a lot less mysterious: The Lost alum has officially joined the cast of FlashForward, the network's new action-drama premiering Sept. 25.

But with one riddle solved, another arrives: Who is Monaghan playing on FlashForward? ABC's press release conspicuously sidesteps the issue, and network reps did not respond to TVGuide.com's requests for clarification.

FlashForward concerns the aftermath of the world's population simultaneously blacking out for two minutes and 17 seconds. Upon coming to, people realize they may have just had a glimpse of the future.

Since Monaghan was not in the original pilot, it could be that he is playing a character to be introduced later, perhaps someone with information about this worldwide phenomenon. Or maybe he is playing... oh, that's right, those of us who saw the complete pilot are not allowed to talk about that. Never mind.

Monaghan's appearance in the ABC promo initially triggered talk that Lost's Charlie would resurface, perhaps even alive, during that show's final season — a possibility that still remains.

Charlie's return on Lost ? more infos !

Rumors have been swirling for the past month about Dominic Monaghan's upcoming projects.

In addition to talk that he might have a role on ABC's Flash Forward (with fellow Lostie Sonya Walger), there's been ever-noisier buzz about a possible Lost return engagement. Could it really happen?

Well, we just got a juicy tip that suggests there very well might be a place for doomed rock bassist Charlie Pace in season six of Lost. Here's what we're hearing...

A reliable spy tells us that Monaghan, one of the key original Lost castmembers, and Lost show runner Damon Lindelof had breakfast together this morning at a Fairfax district eatery in Los Angeles. Of course, the meal might just have been a friendly sit-down between two colleagues (and/or because waffles are delicious), but as Lost-loving optimists, we have to hope that it was a meeting where the two talents came to terms about the story that puts Charlie Pace back in the mix for season six.

Now, there's no telling what the last episodes of Lost will really be like. Speculation begins with a safe landing for Oceanic flight 815 and from there gets really, really crazy.

In the many months between now and the season-six premiere, the best we can do is sit back and let our imaginations run wild, collect pieces of the jigsaw puzzle and hone our dreams and theories about the castaways of Mystery Friggin' Island. So what's your theory?

If Dominic Monaghan is returning to Lost, do you think he will reappear as strung out 815 Charlie? Or would he be hanging out with Hurley (Jorge Garcia) as a transcendent (but dead) rock god? Does he have an alternate-universe dopplegänger? The possibilities are endless.

Cynthia in Ireland: I was so happy to hear about Charlie, Shannon and Claire returning to Lost next season, and then so bummed to find out that nothing except Claire is for sure yet. What's the current status of various dead castmembers returning to Lost?
Even though Dominic Monaghan is said to be appearing on another ABC show next season, reportedly Flash Forward, we're just paranoid enough to think it might be a double cross, and that D.M. might actually be heading back to Lost after (or in addition to) whatever else he does on the Alphabet Net. Why do we think this? Because very reliable sources now tell us that there is "mutual interest" (between the Lost PTB and Dominic Monaghan) in bringing about a season-six return visit by Charlie Pace. Look for official developments in the next week or two.

'Nip/Tuck' scoop: 'Lost' grad is Sean's MIA bro

Sean McNamara's family tree is having a little work done.

Nip/Tuck has tapped Lost alum Neil Hopkins (he played Charlie's heroin-addicted sibling, Liam) to join the cast as Sean's long-lost brother, Brendan, sources confirm to me exclusively.

An FX rep wouldn't confirm the hire, but a Nip/Tuck insider describes the character -- who'll be introduced at the tail end of the show's upcoming sixth season -- as a recovering meth addict (pigeonholed much, Neil?) who has been living on a nature preserve. "Sean thought his brother had died," explains the source. "So he's definitely surprised to see him."

Nip/Tuck's fifth season concludes on March 3. FX has yet to announce a launch date for season 6, but Wikipedia puts it at early 2010, followed by the series-concluding seventh season in 2011. Take that with a grain of salt, though.

For those of you who didn't know, I got to be an extra for LOST on Monday and Tuesday. I was officially cast as "Mom on Swing." This role required me push an 8 year old girl on a swing then stand by a fence I had to sign a confidentiality paper, so I don't give away the plot, so that's all I'll say. The girl that played my daughter was absolutely adorable. I attempted to teach her how to juggle when we were waiting to be filmed. She made me take a picture with her because she said I was going to be famous and she wanted to make sure she got a picture before it would be too difficult to. I hope that was a sign. I was working til about 4 AM and it was nice and rainy and freezing.
On Tuesday, I was a "Dharmite", as you can see in this picture. I looked like a girl scout. The director even walked over and told me that it looked like I should be selling cookies. While I was waiting to be called to set, I was sitting at a picnic table with a few other background actors. Sawyer had a break, so he walked over to the picnic table and picked up a guitar and started singing the blues to me. Okay...he was probably singing to all of us, but he kept looking at me. It was crazy. Speaking of being so close to the actors, I had hair and makeup sitting between the girl who plays Juliet (Elizabeth Marshall) and the asian guy (Daniel Dae Kim).

"In the rules of Lost...is anyone really dead?"

Dominic Monaghan just asked this quintessential Lost Q as I chatted him up on the Chuck set (he's guest starring in February), and I know you many of you fans are dying to know:

Will any of the "dead" Losties be back for season five?

A recent promo sure seemed to show Jack's creepy daddy Christian (John Terry) mingling among the Left Behinders. So...will we see him again? What about Claire (Emilie de Ravin)? And fan favorite Charlie (Dominic)?

I've got the word from Lost boss Damon Lindelof himself on the status of Christian, as well as exclusive insight from Dom and inside sources on Claire and Charlie's whereabouts...

In case you missed the chat, there is much discussion about the figure visible at the 2:10 mark. Is that dead Dr. Christian Shephard in the ABC promo video? Check out the screengrab to see for yourself.

Could Christian really be in the Island camp, running from flaming arrows with the Left Behinders? I was so curious about this wild possibility that I emailed Damon Lindelof to find out, and he tells me exclusively, "No. It's not Christian. John Terry is gonna be in the show this season, but he was definitely nowhere near Hawaii when we shot that stuff."

(Note to Damon: That really does look like John Terry in the promo...You might want to make sure the guy isn't haunting your set in his free time! Maybe he digs the craft services?)

So...you heard it. Christian (Jacob?) will be back for season five. But if Christian's not in the camp, where the bloody Beelzebub is he? Still hanging out with his daughter Claire at the haunted cabin?

I just chatted up Dominic on the set of Chuck (he guest stars in the big 3-D episode) and asked if he could shed any light on Claire's whereabouts. (He is her Wonderwall, after all!) Is she dead? Alive? Floating in some weird Island netherworld?

"I have been keeping up on her," he says, "and I wonder if the world of Lost allows dead people to come back easier than it would be here. I think to a certain extent they wanted to find something for Claire to do outside of grieving over Charlie, and I think they thought, well if we take her away and essentially if we were to bring her back, there would be some drive to her story."

Inside sources connected to the show tell me that Emilie de Ravin is not slated as a series regular for the upcoming fifth season, but we will see her again.

As for Charlie Pace himself, could he return, definitely dead though he is?

Dom tells me he recently had lunch with Damon and they talked about just that. He tells me, "As we were paying the bill, I said, 'Let's talk about Charlie.' And we had a five-minute, very accelerated conversation where I said, this is how I would feel about coming back. These are the things that I really like about Charlie and ideas for Charlie. And Damon said, 'OK, that's great. I'll go away and I'll chew on that.' Damon has to deal with not only the arc in the story for the entire show but also all the characters. He might not have space for me to come back, but if there is space, then we talked about how it would work."

Who wouldn't want more of rock-god ghost Charlie?
Besides killer aviator sunglasses, what would Dom like to see happen in Charlie's return? He says of Charlie's legendary death scene, "I'd always been very complimentary toward Damon's writing in that moment, in the sense that he really gave Charlie a great preciousness and dealt with him with dignity, you know. I think other people have died in ways that maybe weren't quite as dignified. Charlie was really taken care of and I really appreciated that...But really, if [the return were] not something as precious as Charlie's arc in his death, then I might not do it. I wouldn't come back for just a little hello in the background. It would have to be an interesting story, an interesting arc. Something that really moves the story."

Fair enough, right? In case you haven't heard, Lost returns to ABC for season five on Wed., Jan. 21.

Ausiello: I was too, but then I asked executive producer Carlton Cuse and he put my mind at ease. "Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost," Cuse told me Sunday night at the Governors Ball. "It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way."

I have some nice exclusive spoilers for you all today from one of my new sources called Kronos and deals with the recent Desmond, Penny and Ben filming.

1) For this episode there are no main flashbacks or flashforwards, and it is very linear like a normal television episode.
2) Desmond and Penny have been flying under the radar for awhile and they're having a kid.
3) They move around every few months and in this episode they are in a city named Mati.
4) Ben is hot on their trail.
5) Ben Tortures someone from the Widmore Group
6) We find out that there are a handful of Dharma stations located throughout the world. They are not just on the island.

Thanks to my contact "twilight", we can confirm that Sterling Beaumon, who played young Ben in "The Man Behind the Curtain", will be reprising his role again in Season 5. No details yet as to which episode he will be appearing in. I assume this also mean that we will get to see Annie again during this episode/flashback.

Lost's Emilie de Ravin Talks About Baby Aaron and Where Claire Might Appear Next...

I don't know if you noticed, but this season on Lost, Kate totally stole baby Aaron and killed Claire and buried her under a rock!!!

The mysteries of Lost are not easily solved, and certainly not easily guessed, but thankfully, the lovely Emilie de Ravin just phoned up and was kind enough to share a few of her insights into Claire's situation. (Yay for clues!)

Let's go back to the beginning of the season. I think there was supposed to be a ring and a letter that Charlie left for Claire and Aaron. Did Claire ever get those?
I know! I don't know whatever happened with that, right? Oh God, now you're testing my memory.

Maybe the baby has the ring?
[Laughs.] Yes, the baby is wearing it around his wrist. Or maybe it's a toe ring.

Around "Eggtown," some people asked why Claire didn't seem to be more upset about Charlie. How did you feel about that?
I think she had her time to grieve, and I think she's just got so much going on that she has to survive, basically, and put that behind her as much as she can.

From what I've read, you've always been very, very gracious about the fact that as an actress you have to carry this baby around in almost every scene you do. Have you ever thought, "If only I didn't have that darn kid, I could have so many more adventures!"
It definitely holds Claire back as far as she's not going to be running around with a gun trying to kill people or trying to save people—because she has this child and she has to protect him—but that makes it interesting in another way for me.

Do you think that might change now?
Yeah, if Claire and Aaron are separated, I think for sure.

Interesting. Let's talk about your dear deadbeat dad, who showed up in "Something Nice Back Home." Claire had only met him once, and she presumably doesn't know that she shares a dad with Jack.
No, neither of them know on the Island.

What do you think he said to her when he showed up at the fire? Will we find that out?
He said he wants to show her something.

And we have four more hours of the season left to see. Could we assume you share a few more scenes with your dear old dad?
Possibly.

Do you think he has the same agenda for both his children?
I don't know. It seems he has different agendas, but who knows, he seems to be a very mysterious man.

He seems to be a dirty rotten scoundrel, but that's why we love him so much. Is there anything you can tease to about what happens to Claire in the next four hours of Lost?
You might see Claire in an unexpected environment. There were a couple of scenes that were really cool, actually. Just because they're so different. And maybe not really the Claire you know.

Hmmm...And we've heard you might have new and exciting storyline, which I would guess has to do with your dear daddy.
Yes.

Do you think that storyline twist will continue through seasons five and six, or is it primarily through the end of season four?
I can't see it not continuing, but I guess who knows. They can always come back to things or break the map, you know.

Is it true your contract is being renegotiated so you'll be either be on the show a little more or a little less next season?
No, I haven't heard anything about that.

In terms of what the finale showed you about the characters that are not the Oceanic Six, including Claire, did the answers turn out to be what you expected or something a little different?
It's never what I expected. Rarely do I read a script and I'm like, "Yeah, that's what I thought would happen." But no, there's a lot going on in the finale, a lot.

Do we get Matthew Abbadon's "Are they alive?" question answered?
It's somewhat answered, but somewhat not.

Dammit!

Jorge interview about the beginning of the end !

If you’re a Lost fan who watched last night’s episode, you must read this. My bat phone just rang up with Jorge Garcia on the other end to talk about Hurley’s mental status, Dominic Monaghan’s return and some things no one knows about last night's episode, including who was really in the chair in Jacob's house when they shot it. (Shhh!)

Read on for all the goods...

All I’ve wanted to do since last night is give Hurley a hug.
Really?

That was a fantastic episode, and you knocked it out of the park. I laughed when you cannonballed. I cried when you broke the news to Claire. Your performance was better than ever, and I know the fans loved it.
Wow. Thank you. That’s really good to hear. I felt good about that episode. When I got the script, it was like the heart of the show was back. And even more than that, I felt like—as soon as we all got our scripts for that premiere—that sense of "Oh my god did you read it?" or "Did you get the next script?" was back, just like we were back in season one. We couldn’t wait for the next script.

There was some creepy stuff in that episode. It took us a while to figure out where John Terry (Jack’s father) was. And then Damon said to "look for the white shoes" and it was like, "Holy crap! Jack’s dad is in Jacob’s house!"
Me too. That wasn’t the way it was in the script. There was someone else in the chair.

What? Really? Was it a different person, or they didn’t tell you who was in the chair?
We shot it with someone else in the chair.

Are you allowed to say who was in the chair originally?
Yeah. I think so. It was me. I was in the chair when we shot it.

Crazy town! Why did they change it?
I don’t know. At first I thought maybe they decided that putting Jack’s father there was a much better twist, which it was, so they changed it. But now I think maybe they planned that all along and didn’t want to have it in the script because they didn’t want anyone to know about it.

So, it seems the producers are getting very crafty in keeping those secrets.
Yeah, I think so. I know that when guest stars come on, they’ll have them read with one actor and a script, and then when they get it, it’s a totally different script and scene and actor. And last night, the scene in the police department also was different. When we shot it, it was an aquarium. Like, a real aquarium. And none of us knew it would be Charlie inside there. They added that later on.

Well, that was a great twist, too. Did you hear about what was written on his hand? "They Need You."
Oh, cool. I think that's what he said to me at the asylum.

So, how was it for you shooting that scene with Dominic? Was it a nice surprise for you all that he would be coming back?
Definitely. A lot of people have said that they felt Charlie and Hurley were really the most solid relationship on the island. And so to have him come back was just very cool. And I liked that he was sort of a better version of Charlie. A lot of people, when they die on our show, like with Ian, they come back and they are like the heaven version of themselves. How they would want to be.

Do you think that Hurley is really mentally ill? Or is there some mystical element from the island making him see things?
In [last night’s] episode, I was playing it that Hurley was so haunted by Charlie and by Charlie’s last words that he couldn’t get past it. And so he wanted to go to the one place, the last place where he felt safe, and that was Santa Rosa.

I have an interesting question from a fan, if you don’t mind. Nicholas in Peoria, Illinois, asks: "Please settle this ongoing debate from our Lost party last night. First, what did Jacob say to Hurley when Hurley was lost in the jungle by the house? Second, in the third-season finale, with Jack's flash-forward, didn't one of the doctors ask, 'Do you wanna go upstairs and talk to your dad?' So, would that mean more people are dying and coming back in the Lost universe? That would explain Jack's dad on the Island."
For the first part, um, let me look at my script to make sure...But yeah, there wasn’t anything in the script as far as what was being said. That was just jungle whispering. I don’t know if it was Jacob or the jungle or whatever, but it’s just whispering. I’m sure some guy somewhere will figure it out, like the guys who figured out what Shannon and Walt said.

As for the second part, did someone really say that to Jack? I didn’t know that. Maybe that was sort of a red herring to throw people off the scent of that being a flash-forward. I really don’t know. But I do know that the producers have said that when someone dies, they really do die. They are dead.

Do you feel like last night’s episode was representative of how good the next seven episodes will be? Are they on that same level?
The writing is really strong for all eight, and there are some really good twists. There’s definitely a big crazy moment that they end the eighth episode with that people are going to be talking about.

Was it sort of jarring, shutting down production in the middle of the season?
Yeah, but at least we have eight episodes, which is a good number, and I feel like every episode has some kind of great cliffhanger or question at the end of it that will have people coming back, and the thing at the end of eight is pretty major.

Do you think it will be possible to produce more episodes this season if the strike ends soon?
I honestly don’t know. I say all the time that I’m so glad I’m a very small piece of the pie that is the gigantic huge show Lost is. But I’m ready to go back. I’ve caught up on my fan mail, and now the boredom has sort of set in.

Well, thank you so much for calling. And congrats again on a truly great episode.
